Am I right that one arrives to Dalaman and transfers to Kayakoy? Do you arrange a transfer? Also, do we trek light and have the luggage taken from stay to stay?

We provide a free transfer on the first day from Dalaman (DLM) airport and last day of the trip. There'll be two transfers provided to Dalman Airport (DLM) today, which is around a 2 hour and 30 minute drive from the hotel. The morning transfer will be at 7am to arrive at the airport by 9:45am and another later in the day departing at 4:30pm to arrive at the Airport for around 7pm.

This is my first time in Turkey and I am excited there are some great hiking opportunities here. If possible I would like to combine with Exploring Istanbul for three days then doing some hiking. Please let me know other hiking tours aside from Lycian Way and if there's one you would strongly recommend for me. My husband and I are in reasonable hiking shape so something moderate to hard is preferred.

Can you let me know if there is a place for one person for the hiking trip to Turkey? Would prefer a room for single use. How is it then arranged when in some days it is stated shared room with up to 4 people?

On the night that you share accommodation, you'll stay in a traditional village house. Accommodation will be in a combination of twin and multi share en-suite rooms of up to four people, depending on the size of our group. Gey is a very typical rural Turkish village and the food and hospitality you'll receive is wonderful after a long day walking. We are unable to organise single rooms for this night of the trip.

Please can you send me the price of pre and post tour accommodation and transfers? Do we carry our luggage during hiking or is it transported from place to place?

We can absolutely let you know the price of the additional services, we would just need to know which departure you are looking at. Do you have a departure in mind? Your luggage is transported for you on this tour. You only need to carry your day pack with you during the hikes.

Would you be able to organize a stutter from Dalaman? Is there are any public buses between Dalaman and your destination?

We offer free airport transfers to and from Dalaman Airport. On the way out you can arrive anytime into Dalaman and we will provide an airport transfer for you. On the way back we operate 2 transfers back to Dalaman airport - so the earliest you can fly back for The first transfer is 1115 am and for the second transfer the earliest you can fly back is 2100 hours.

This was an unforgettable week! There were 15 of us and our guide Alper. The energy in the group was right from the start. The age ranged from 40 tem 74 and a mix of different nationalities (UK, USA, Scotland, Australia, Canada & Belgium). Alper was a fantastic guide, he always remained calm and patient, he made every effort to accommodate our requests. What a topper! He provided plenty of restful moments. I got the chance to pick up some geocaches ;-). Nature was breathtaking and the scenery never ceased to amaze me: no day the same, no view the same. Turkey charmed me so much! The Lycian Way is definitely recommended and achievable (even if you don't have the best physical condition). The accommodations were also varied which really made it a new fine experience each time. We stayed in a hotel but also in lodges (the accommodation in Gey village was basic, the hospitality and food was top notch!). I recommend this trip to everyone, from the beginning to the end it was full enjoyment of all the beauty. The food, the accommodation, the guidance, the group, the walks, the variety of landscapes, ... it so exceeded my expectations. This gets more than 5 stars for me! It was an inspiring and wonderful week, it was one full of wonder, connection and adventure. My very first group trip was a magical experience.Show more

The Lycian Way tour was a combination of strenuous hiking, fantastic scenery, historic ruins, and most importantly, an unmatched cultural experience. Our guide, Kemal, led us on physically challenging routes, shared the history of the ruins, and immersed 16 tourists in the rich culture of Turkiye. The group consisted of 12 very educated and social Brits, 3 nature-loving Canadians, and me, the lone and solo American on her first coordinated international tour. Kemal encouraged us to stay together, on pace, "drink in" the natural landscapes, the cuisine, and interact with each other and our Turkish hosts. Kemal was the glue that kept the group together and brought the experience to the level of not just a holiday/vacation but an adventure. I know I will return to Turkiye again.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 30th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 30th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Explore!. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 75 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Explore! will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Explore!" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Explore!. Please familiarize yourself with the Explore! payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
