Yes the bike is included on our Cycle Turkey Trip but you do need to bring your own helmet. Your included bike is a 21 gear Specialized Sirrus V hybrid bike and will be the correct frame size for your height. A water bottle holder is included as well as the facility to fit your own pedals or saddle if you wish to bring them. A support vehicle accompanies the rides throughout the trip. We provide spare parts and take care of the day to day maintenance. All you need to bring is your own helmet.

All of our cycling trips will include local hire of bikes for the duration of the trip. E-bikes are also available -subject to availability- at an additional cost.

Do you offer electric bikes for this holiday or any of them?

Unfortunately on this trip we do not have e-bikes as an option. Many of our other cycling trips do if you wish to have a look online at these.

  In view of the fact that we are required to bring our own helmets and the fact that we would have to share bathroom and even bedroom facilities this may not be the tour for us.

  Taking your own helmet is a safety aspect of the tour and is the only piece of equipment which is required. The simple homestay, is an immersive experience, where you can sample authentic Turkish traditions and cuisine - however I understand sharing bathroom's and bedrooms would not be for everyone. It may be worth taking a look at some of our other cycling tours where this is not an option.

  On this tour we cycle 224 km over six days (an average of 37km per day). When not on the plains, the terrain is generally undulating, with some significant ascents and descents, reflecting the spectacular nature of the country. Day 5 is mainly ascent - over the course of the day we climb 1000m. Bear in mind that there is vehicle support at all times, should you need a lift uphill! We have graded the route as moderate.
