The accommodation was fabulous and the hospitality was wonderful in the hotels / lodge. I left them individual reviews. Food was great with mixed cultural and western dishes. The issues I faced with this tour were more about the behaviour of the tour guide. There were many activities that were not included in the price and I was sent a list of the prices that were government fixed charges for a number of places on the itinerary which basically I had to pay. However at two places the locals tried to charge me more and my tour guide who should be looking out for me did not intervene. His driving was reckless and erratic, he was pulled over by the police for his dangerous driving and on one day fell asleep at the wheel on many occasions. We pleaded with him to take a break but he refused. This made us feel quite unsafe. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful in most cases, especially when my friend or I were unwell, so thank you. But there were too many issues that made the trip unpleasant and quite a bit of miscommunication due to language barriers.Show moreTrip date: September 2025

This was an excellent tour which covered all the major attractions. It was well organized and everything went smoothly. We opted for the private tour option and the upgraded hotels, which was not all that expensive. Most of the hotels included breakfast and dinner, which was a real bargain. Our guide, Udara, did a great job! He was vey friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of inside information about local customs and did an incredible job driving the often challenging roads! He explained e erything in detail and ensured our safety and comfort at all times. Kamilas was a very safe driver and knowledgeable driver. His English was excellent and his sense of humour and fun just fabulous. The trip itinerary was very good. Something to point out the first days travel started with breakfast at 7 am and no proper meal until 3pm this is to long a gap. The train ride was great but was 2 hrs late, in itself not a problem but arrived at hotel 9pm and up for safari 4.30 am. Hotel standards were good . We were expecting to be in a group, so if you are a solo traveller, you may end up on your own.
