  Brilliant week touring the Adriatic. The ship M V Dream’s captain and crew were excellent. David the cruise manager was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the ports of call. Swimming locations were secluded and postcard perfect. The port destinations exposed us to the Croatian culture and was a taster for future trips.Show more

  The scenery and cruising were great. The swimming spots were good. The food was average. The tour guide was great but insisted on briefing us when the engine was going and most of these briefings were inaudible. The crew smoked in the public areas. We lost a day trip to Brac due to a forecast (other boats went) and spent 2 hours waiting to dock in Trogir in the middle of nowhere.Show more

  Hi Greg, Thank you for your feedback. It is always appreciated. We are sorry that the cruise did not entirely meet your expectations. The small ship cruise is always effected with the weather conditions and the captain is always prioritizing the guests safety over itinerary. Sometimes the higher category ships (Deluxe and Deluxe Superior category) can pass with a stronger waves at sea were the lower category ships can not. Also there is a lot of traffic in the ports during the sailing season and it is possible that a ship needs to wait before the permission for the port authority to enter the port. The smoking is been reduced on board but there are still members of the crew that do smoke. They are doing it always on the outside but as ships are not that big we can understand how it can cause some discomfort for the non smokers. We will pass your review to the captain and the crew.

  Let me start off by saying that the crew was fantastic, especially our main host Minja and our bartender Leopold. The ship was also impressive & the water pressure in the showers, the cleanliness of the rooms, and every detail was given attention to. It was amazing to be able to see so many areas while having all your belongings kept on the ship in a private and secure space, it made each day much more enjoyable as a traveler. We also had great meals & got to swim daily in beautiful areas. Lastly, having a local on the ship to give you advice for laundry or food was super helpful because often times Google or yelp doesn’t help much. Minja even did a wine tasting and lesson, olive oil tasting and lesson, and even Croatian language 101 for everyone which was unexpected and so much fun! However, there are things to consider for a cruise like this that we hadn’t for example we did not dock until well into the afternoon and on one occasion after 5pm which was really disappointing considering we expected to have more time on land to explore. We still gave them 5 stars because the experience was great but if you’re considering a cruise, time on land vs water is something you should think about. We weren’t aware of this and the information given in person was just as vague as on the website.Show more

  I travel a great deal and must say this trip was in the top 3 EVER.....it was perfect! The staff and captain were beyond amazing, the guide was outstanding and the sites/food were wonderful. Beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed vessel. Looking to book again for Northern sites in 2027. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Show more

  Two most enjoyable cruises!! We had no idea what to expect of/in Croatia. Whilst we knew that Croatia was a separate country, we had tended to block it in with Serbia and had a slightly jaundiced view of our possible security based on the progress and fall outs from the 1991 Balkans war and related international reporting. We were so very wrong. We found Croatia and the people we met/dealt with to be absolutely delightful, friendly and helpful. The support service provided by Katarina Line Representatives was very good and helpful. • A Katarina Line Representative was on the dock about 2 hours before boarding time; • We looked for and found the KatarinaLine flags on vessels and Katarina Line Representatives with aquamarine tee-shirts who confirmed Vessel and allocation; • Any issues related to post-cruise accommodation bookings or transfers can be referred to the on-board cruise director and/or the Katarina Line Representatives We travelled on 2 KatarinaLine cruises: KL2: 7 days: Split to Split: 1st-8th October. We were booked on an A+ vessel, however we were upgraded to a de-lux vessel “Fantazjia”. VERY comfortable, big well fitted out cabins with proper on-suite located on the upper deck. The food and lounge and cabin services provided by the crew were outstanding (especially the Cruise Director and the Dining Lounge Steward. Breakfast and lunch were included/provided but all dinners were ashore (except for a Captains dinner). Dinner on board was not an option, and we think this worked very well. KL1: 5 days: Zadar to Opatija: 10th-15th October. We were on an A+ vessel, the “Morena”. Much smaller than the “Fantazjia” but adequately sized, comfortable cabins with proper on-suite located on the upper deck. The food and lounge and cabin services provided by the crew were very good. Meal arrangements were the same as for KL2 We found both cruises to be very good value, well organised, very good quality and very enjoyable. We will be back for another visit, possibly based on 1 or 2 cruises, but will include a lot more time on land; we did not see enough and there is a lot to see and enjoy.Show more

  Just got back from Split to Split cruise on the Avangard. Absolutely wonderful experience! Our cruise from Split to Dubrovnik was canceled due to low numbers, but were upgraded and switched to the new itinerary. The crew on this ship was second to none! Dimce, Lea (Laya), Tony & Tony, captain, and chef were so great. When I saw the little galley kitchen I didn't have high expectations on food, but I was very wrong. Don't know how he did it, but chef out did himself. The crew made this experience a trip of a lifetime. The small ship was exactly what we were looking for (21 people), the staff made it even better. Big shout out to Dimce and Lea/Laya-unsure of spelling. Very special duo taking care of meals and the multitude of drinks. Highly recommend is an understatement.Show more

  This morning we left the Avangard after a week long cruise from Split returning to Split. Cannot recommend highly enough. Once stepping on board we did not have to think about anything. A highly efficient Captain, cruise manager and crew. A mix of English speaking people from around the world who were ALL great company. The unobtrusive and highly efficient crew made this a trip one to remember. On shore tours ran like clockwork, informative and entertaining. Looking forward to cruising again with the Katharine line.Show more

  Just wrapped up a 7-day Split-to-Split cruise with Katarina Line aboard the brand new MS Markan. In a word, the cruise was fantastic! Food was fresh, local & plentiful, activities were interesting & professionally run including walking tours, wine tastings and plenty of beach / swim stops. Lastly, our guide Juri was super knowledgeable, and happy to share stories about Croatia, it's people and the rich history. Highly recommended!Show more

  Catarina Line o We spent a week sailing on the Catarina line from Split-Dubrovnick-Split. They have small cruise ships, with a capacity that does not exceed 40 people, the treatment is completely personalized and the staff is always attentive to all the details and provides support if required. The rooms are very comfortable and the meals are hearty and of very good quality. In general, there are 2 stops during the day, one to swim in the middle of the Adriatic, which is by far the best experience of the trip; and also to visit a city, which is always supported by a guide who gives an overview of the place being visited and then there is time to do the tours yourself. We were very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend this cruise. .............................and We spent one-week cruising with Catarina line from Splitz- Dubrovnik- Splitz. The line has small vassals, the capacity is about 40 guests, they have a very personalized services and the personnel is always putting their best to make every detail special and give support in case it is required. The rooms are really nice and comfortable, food is good and good quality. In general, during the day there are 2 stops: one on the middle of the ocean in order to swim on the Adriatic, in on point of view this was the best of the trip; And the others to stop in a city, the first activity always join a local guide to have a brief tour to the place and then later visit by own the city. We really liked the experience and definitely we will recommend this cruise.Show more
