Itinerary
- Day 1
Jerusalem to Dead Sea
You'll head south from Jerusalem through the Judean Hills, passing the Inn of the Good Samaritan as the landscape drops below sea level toward Earth's lowest point. From there, a cable car takes you up to Masada, where you can walk through the ruins of King Herod's ancient palace-fortress from over 2,000 years ago. After exploring the site, you'll continue through the desert, passing Ein Gedi and Qumran on your way to one of the Dead Sea's better beaches. There you'll have time to float in the mineral-rich waters and relax before heading back to Jerusalem for the night.
