The weight limits for your luggage are 23 kg (50 lbs) for checked bags and 8 kg (17 lbs) for carry on luggage. We recommend the use of a duffel bag or backpack (whichever you find easiest to carry). A good size daypack is also essential. Please note that Galapagos is a protected National Park so your luggage will be checked before arrival and departure to and from the islands. Don't bring any food, seeds or other organic material that could affect the delicate ecosystem of the islands.

is each tour just one family or can family parts be added to another family?

The maximum group size for this trip is 16 passengers, so there will likely be multiple families booked on the one departure date.

Is roundtrip domestic flight from Quito to San Cristobal already included in the price?

Yes we will fly you to and from Quito to San Cristobal. You just need to get yourself and family to Quito.

I'd love to book this holiday... But, my youngest daughter is 4 years old. I have no problem keeping her entertained. But, is she eligible for this trip?

This tour has an age limit of 6+, so unfortunately your daughter would be too young for this trip. This is to do with health & safety and insurance reasons, along with participation.

My 80 year old grandmother doesn't swim. What can she do when everyone else is snorkeling? Is this a safe trip for 80 year olds?

Travellers can either stay on the boat and watch while everyone Snorkels or they can stay on shore and the guide can suggest alternative activities. This tour has a physical Rating of 3 - Average, Some tours may include light hiking, biking, rafting, or kayaking in addition to walking. If the passenger can handle this sort of activity then they are able to join this tour.

Is it more for young kids or will there likely be other teens, as well?

This is a trip for families and open for kids aged 7 and upwards. On our March 11th departure, there is currently only a 13 year old and their parents booked on. There is no way for us to know what ages will book on per departure.

The real adventure started the next day when we landed in the Galapagos and met our tour guide, Sandra Masaqui. She was the reason our adventure was so successful. She took care of us at all times with her knowledge, her guidance, her suggestions for meals and correct clothing for different events; her empathy, her help if we needed it and her company.
