  We explored parts of Israel and Jordan in early October 2023. The trip was coordinated by Tour Radar and Abraham Tours. We stayed at two Abraham Hostels on this tour ( one Tel Aviv and one in Jerusalem) as well as a Bedouin Camp in Jordan. The tours in Israel included Old CIty of Jaffa, Old Jerusalem, Masada and the Dead Sea. All amazing sites to see. We travelled into Jordan on the three day tour and saw/explored Mount Nebo, Petra and Wadi Rum. I can honestly say that all of the tours we did were some of the best i have ever done. The history and the scenery was spectacular. The food that was included/served was a little repetitive at the various places, however was pretty good (nobody got sick) and it would appear that Abraham Tours had sourced some of the cleanest/nicer places to eat. I would certainly condsider booking with Tour Radar/Abraham Tours in the future.Show more

  Excellent deal that afforded me the opportunity to observe more fascinating things than I imagined. Choosing the more, ahem, affordable option, I didn't upgrade to a private room. It was a tad uncomfortable at first, but I did get to meet a lot of cool, interesting people, which is quite the feat for somebody with introverted tendencies. Every guide was very well informed and friendly. Although I have a working knowledge of biblical history, they really fleshed out many of the stories within a geographical context, as well as a lot of the traditions that are in place today. Some of the sites we got to experience include the Dead Sea, Masada, the Old City of Jerusalem (including the Western Wall and the Temple Mount), Petra and Wadi Rum, and the West Bank. Navigating entry to both Jordan and Palestine, then back to Israel, would have been tricky had it not been for their expert assistance. If you only have one opportunity to visit this captivating land, then I highly recommend this tour.Show more

  The tour was generally good as it was a collage of various trips with different destinations and guides. The guides were generally knowledgeable and well coordinated. However, The start of this tour was rather chaotic. The guide did not meet us at the welcome evening activity to give directions on how to join the group and get started the next day. The start of the tour was some 30 min walk away from the hostel with no information given on how to get there. The staff at the reception of Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv were not up to date with the tour information. To add insult to injury, I was sent an itinerary for the Autumn season when my booking was for Spring. Hence, I ended up showing up for activities an hour earlier. The first day sent me into panic mode unnecessarily. New updates to departure times such that of the West Bank were not communicated to anyone. Some only learned about accidentally by asking the receptionists. In a tour like this which as patch-up of a number of separate activities, it is very important to ensure smooth hand-overs,and provide a good introductory session at the very beginning. The Petra section was excellent, and very well coordinated. The Jerusalem tour was very good and very informative. The Jaffa tour was okay, but short. There was so much time left that could have been used to tour other locations in Tel-Aviv. The Florentine and other quarters promised in the itinerary were never given. The first day was mostly wasted. So this needs to be look at!Show more

I attended during a challenging time (during the protests) but everything worked out well in the end. I can't choose between Jerusalem and Petra being my favourite trip.   The Jordan tour was excellent and was well organized from pick up on the border, the driver is there ready to welcome us and the bus has got Abraham tours written on the front so you know which bus to ride. The food , accommodation and sites are amazing. Although one day in Petra is not enough. Also the tour guide and driver are the best, we don't have to get off the bus. Our Jordan tour guide Madhi collected our passport and sorted everything same when we were leaving Jordan. On the other hand, the Israel side is not. Starting with the accommodation, we couldn't check in the hostel so the staff have to ring Abraham tours. There was also a problem in Abraham Jerusalem hostel regarding the number of guest. The Masada, dead sea and ein gedi is a self guided tour and the Jerusalem tour was only 4 hours which are not mentioned on the itinerary. Our tour guide for the West bank spend more time talking to the driver than to us. We are given different information about our itinerary and even the exit fee we have to pay before leaving Israel is wrong. And lastly our bus from Allenby bridge to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv haven't got any sign on it saying Abraham tours so we have to ask and the driver doesn't even know how many passengers he need to pick up, one member of our group decided to count and asked the other group if how many people are in their group. To rate this tour, the Jordan itinerary is excellent and the rest are okay to good.Show more

  Although the bus driver explained to us verbally that we needed to be prepared to cross the border many of us were extremely unprepared. It took me over two hours until I was cleared to go through customs. Then after everyone was on board the Bus driver disappeared for about one hour more. Once we got into Jerusalem one Spanish couple demand to exit the bus. The lady was very angry bc the bus driver took too long at the border for unknown reasons.Show more

Unfortunately, dealing with multiple authorities at the Israeli-Jordanian border crossings presents significant challenges, sometimes leading to delays. We are subject to the regulations and priorities of two different countries' border control authorities. Each of them works differently and has its own, sometimes conflicting culture, rules, and demands. Following two years of covid, the Allenby border has recently re-opened for tourists and tours, resulting in confusion, lack of experienced workforce, and delays. Our job is to make sure that everyone gets in the car back to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and we do everything possible not to leave people behind to manage independently. Unfortunately, our driver was delayed by the authorities due to random reasons beyond our or his control. Moreover, To this point, It's also important to note that you crossed the border during the Muslim holiday of Eid Fitr, during which there are vast numbers of Palestinians crossing to be with their families in Jerusalem and the West Bank for the Holiday; also added to the stress at the border during your return from Jordan.   My husband and I really enjoyed the Israel, Petra & Wadi Rum 9 Day Adventure tour, and felt that for what was included it was good value for money. The tour was very interesting, with a diverse mix of different activities. Our highlights were the Kibbutz tour and Petra. The guides were enthusiastic, friendly, informative and all spoke very good English. Prior to departure the communication with Abraham Tours was excellent; they always responded to my questions very quickly. Everything on the tour ran on time or very close to on time (quite impressive given the traffic in the cities!), and there was a good balance of tour activities and time to do your own thing. The food was mostly good, even for a vegetarian. The tour was actually a collection of other tours, so we were with different people each day, but as long as you check the itinerary to know what you're doing the next day, this arrangement works fine. There were a few minor issues, such as no opportunity to get dinner on the way back from Jordan, the driving tour of Amman actually really just being a few sentences from the guide as we drove through Amman, and being given incorrect information about whether our passports would be stamped on entry into Jordan (we were told they wouldn't be but they were, which could be an issue if you want to travel to other Arab countries in future). Also, nobody's fault but the hostels were very noisy (both traffic noise and noise from other guests) and we didn't sleep very well - there are other companies who provide accommodation in hotels for a higher price and this might suit some people better. However, overall we would definitely recommend Abraham Tours.Show more

  Really enjoyed my trip to Israel and Jordan. Accommodation at Hostel Abraham was beyond my expectation. Tour guide, Abdul, in Jordan was really fun and knowledgeable. And the Dead Sea----a highlight. I have travelled a far bit. This 9 day tour was incredible value!!! And TourRadar was very attentive to all questions.
