Very well organised. The guide was great. Gave us lots of info but didn't over do it. He was very approachable and helpful especially when he had to deal with a couple of difficult travelers.

Intrepid clearly doesn’t care about their female customers. I did the trip between Bangkok and Bali. I’ve used them before and never had an issue. The guide on the first half was wonderful. The second half - Tantan - was terrible. From the get-go, he told us that he was on “probation” due to an incident with another female customer from a previous trip. He treated the women like second-class citizens and verbally complained about us. He never told us anything about his own country. On more than one occasion, women were separated from the group. He didn’t even realize that we weren’t with the group. And in one situation, it could have been dangerous. When FIVE women complained about this to Intrepid, we were told that he’s “trained and professional”. They gave us a brush off amount as compensation. And this man will still be allowed to lead tours after “retraining”. In the age of Me Too, I don’t know how a company still thinks it can treat female complaints like they’re unimportant. I’ve used this company many times in the past. I will NEVER use them again.

- a lot of distance to travel, no so much focused on culture - the agency is absolutly not open for flexibility/ help to tailor the travel - definitely too expensive for what it is

Great experience overall in Bali with Mike and Wisnu as my tour guides, it really helped with Wisnu being a local, but I was impressed with Mike’s knowledge of the local culture. There were plenty of nice pools at every resort and the itinerary is packed with activities. The best part most of the activities are not packed with other tourists!

My experience with the 12 day group tour of Bali was very good! It was a lot of traveling and a fun/busy program, but I never felt like we were rushing. This was also due to the good and fun guide Wisnu. He was very relaxed and mixed well with the group. I would definitely recommend this trip for people looking for a cozy, fun and active trip!

It was a lot of fun, we went to lots of places and our tour guide Ali was so much fun and funny. Prepare to be go go go for 10 days, (be ok with water) and it’s for people who I think definitely love adventure with lots of walking and the ocean. Some places we stayed at were a little noisy at the beginning, struggled to sleep- but talked to the owner who was really sweet about it and will improve. Some local guides were more clear than others- English wise, but the tour guide Ali helped us navigate. I think they’ll improve that as well. Don’t regret doing it, was an interesting experience.

Definitely worth going on this tour get to see some amazing places the tour is really organised and the tour guide is really good fun!

I had the most amazing time on this trip!! Tim our tour guide was amazing in every way!! He was so knowledgeable not to mention fun!! He truly made this magial vacation one I will never forget!!!

We had Andri as our tour leader and he was amazing! So welcoming and kind the whole way through, I genuinely don’t think I would have had such a good time if we didn’t have him. He made the whole experience unforgettable, Bali was amazing and it has made me want to book onto more tours.

My friend and me booked for 10 days tour with TourRader from USA, but they tried to cancel 7 days prior to my tour because some people cancelled their tour, which was unacceptable. But later, they gave us compensation, gave us private tour and arranged extra accommodations and transportation. I deeply appreciate their support and willingness to help us in a different country and different cultures and language.

Overall we really enjoyed our 7 day Bali experience, we got to see a lot of different places and explore different parts of Bali, we wouldn’t normally do if we had organised itineraries ourselves. I would recommend doing a cultural Holy Water Sebatu sacred ceremony or even an ATV ride through a cave or waterfall would be awesome! The hotels we stayed at were very accommodating, clean and comfortable, free wifi was a bonus… The Bali Trip Mate tour guides and driver were great and always politely mannered in a professional way. They always went out of there way to help if we needed anything. Yustus and Rocky especially were amazingly exceptional and always made us feel safe-nothing was ever too much for them. The manager Rizal took time out of his day to meet us on our first night at dinner, I thought that was very important, as it made us feel welcomed and not just another number for the tourist statistics. Lovely atmosphere, great experience just wish we could’ve stayed longer! Thanks guys! Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I travel a lot. I also am an oceanographer and teacher so I spend a lot time in the ocean and also spend a lot of time with students. This trip was made exceptional because of the crew. They are a well oiled machine: each one has a clear role but they work we as a team. This makes everything flow effortlessly to maximize fun and enjoyment of the guests and keep everyone safe. They are top notch! There local knowledge is evident as they navigate both the larger ship and the small boats. They are very in tune with the needs and abilities Of the guests and are able to adjust and provide the appropriate experience. Highly recommend

Everything was perfect! I think our best holiday ever. Peter and Irene were so helpful in answering all our questions and putting our mind at ease the whole time. Even during COVID times or when we needed a last minute reschedule because of a weather warning. Once out on the trip, Flori and the team were awesome and tailored the tour to our pace and fancy, while also optimising for weather and safety. Each day had two sessions of kayaking of varying length depending how tired/up for it we were (a chance to see the beautiful landscape of Komodo park, wild dragons and stop at stunning beaches, without any other tourists). Then outside of that we would stop at all the famous spots in Komodo (pick beack, padar hike, dragons walk, manta point, turtle city etc) and all times inbetween could be spent in the sun or shaded deck reading a book with a beer or having a snorkel. It was paradise.
