First of all, our tour guide Jorge was very nice. He tried to help everyone wherever he could. The tour itself however, I hesitate to give an excellent review. True, we covered a huge territory. The routing was all right. But it seemed to me that the traveling pattern was that we were always on the road for almost a whole day, then stay two nights, and the day in between we must pay extra to buy optional tours otherwise we couldn’t do much. The means of transportation was not very desirable. The public bus portion and the border crossing where we had to pull our own luggage was quite hectic. Price wise, this trip was not particularly cheap, but only one breakfast was included. All in all, too basic. Quality can be improved.

Lau was an awesome, knowledgable tour guide - it’s great to have a local guide show us the best of Costa Rica. Very patient with a large group of travellers who had lots of questions! Nothing was too much trouble and the tour ran super smoothly which would not have been possible without Lau’s organisation, patience and energy.

Lau was so respectful of everyone. She always had answers to our questions or she would get the answer for us. She was very out going and made sure we felt safe at all times. Always listened and never made us feel like we were asking to many questions. I appreciated her so much made my first solo travel so memorable.

I cannot begin to say enough nice things about our tour leader, Alfonso. He went above and beyond! He made the trip by always being up beat and ready to help. Alfie is amazing.

This was a great way trip with a knowledgeable, experienced and caring guide.

CAUTION! This was a great tour with a wonderful guide but G-Adventures management leaves a great deal wanting. WATCH THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY. Do not book any service beyond the basic trip. 5% refunds on cancelations!! Blame passing when things go wrong.

My experience both with the Tour, Natural Highlights of Costa Rica National Geographic Journeys and booking the Tour through TourRadar were excellent. TourRadar was clear, concise, helpful, and quick to respond to questions. I would definitely use them again.

So wonderful! It was fabulous to have someone else plan the itinerary- saved me a bunch of research time and I saw a bunch of Costa Rica. It got me to try things I would not have signed up for on my own - zip lining, bridge jumping, rappelling waterfalls. Shuttles were timely, safe, clean and many of them had wifi! Best of all, I was assigned a concierge who helped with clarifications, modifications, and assistance with communications. Top notch experience I totally recommend!!

CharlieTheTraveler set up an amazing experience in Costa Rica! Great food, people, and adventures! I had a blast tasting the fresh fruits and exploring the jungles and many waterfalls and seeing the natural wonders and animals of the variegated landscape. The lively nightlife of Tamarindo was vivacious! Good tunes and good people! The night hike in Monteverde’s cloud forest was crazy! Got to see so many critters and crawlers! The guides were eagle eyes! The waterfall rappelling in La Fortuna was incredible! Awesome getting to relax at the hot springs afterwards! Manuel Antonio was so lush and chill! The national park is beautiful and I fulfilled my sloth quota! The surfing school was rad; good teachers, muy divertido! Delicious ceviche! San Jose was very interesting! Big city with diamonds in the rough. The Pre-Colombian Gold Museum was unique and the Doka Estate coffee plantation was really informative! I had so much fun meeting a variety of folks from all over the world: travelers and guides alike all wanting to talk about what they’ve experienced in this wonderful país! Thanks so much!

We enjoyed our brief trip to Costa Rica, though we were disapppointed by hte number of people on the tour since the website had said "No more than 16 travelers" and we had at least 26, if not more, for most activities. That was a particular problem when it came to guided nature walks on single-file paths, where the people at the end of the line had almost no chance of hearing the guide--who was extremely knowledgeable. That said, we were especially impressed with the Toruguero National Park and the amazing array of flora and fauna we saw there. We also really liked the Pachira Lodge where we stayed for 2 nights near the park. We felt we were well taken care of in terms of transportation and transfers, and all of our drivers were excellent and courteous. Costa Rica is a wonderful place to visit!

We had such a great experience. Everything went smoothly, all the activities were wonderful, and the drivers were punctual and friendly. We couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Tourradar and Green World Adventures to anyone. We will definitely be using Tourradar again for our next trip!

Retired and excited to spend our time traveling. Booked our first ever tour with Trafalgar, through Costco. Expected that it would be the first of very many. I will never consider Trafalgar again. Hideous customer service!!! First our trip was cancelled due to Covid - hey I get it - but no refund, just a voucher. Again, very unusual situation, so cut them some slack. Communication sucked, but rebooked for this year. A month out, Trafalgar emails me that they are cancelling just our trip date - for unexplained reasons. This time instead of a credit they say we can finally get a refund. So generous for this massive corporation that has now had my money for two years. HERE'S the kicker - they expect it to take THREE MONTHS to process my refund. WHAT??? I'm sorry, this is totally unacceptable. Used my money for two years and now need three MORE months to refund it. Oh, and if you want to talk to someone to check on your refund, count on 2 hours on hold. SEE YA. I WILL NEVER CONSIDER THEM FOR FUTURE TRAVEL AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THEIR CRAPPY SERVICE.

I booked the tour at a time of deep personal loss and grief. I had lost 4 close family members, including my sister. Costa Rica was a far way from home but i really wanted to immerse myself in nature and in a foreign land - and i am so glad that i booked this trip! German, Victor and Fernando were exceptionally kind, exceptionally helpful and so knowledgeable. I emailed German prior to the trip and he was so responsive & from the moment i reached the hotel to begin the trip, he was always so attentive and made the entire trip an experience to remember. The trip itself was an adventure and everything which i required to inject some healing into my broken heart and soul. I learnt so much about the wild life and saw the most beautiful aspects of human life in Costa Rica. German and Victor brought so much of Costa Rica with stories and songs to us daily. I cried when the trip ended but i came home with the most wonderful memories and new friends. Thank you for everything German and Victor and so much love to our driver Fernando. Hope to see you all again

Lovely vitas and fabulous guide Edudardo Lopez, but tour descriptors sometimes lacking in detail and level of strenuous activities was minimized. One accommodation was impossible to endure in Cahuita do to level of mildew and mould in rooms. Had to go to a different accommodation for those three nights -for 2 couples - at own cost ($400 US per couple). We would not unconditionally recommend Exodus Tours to anyone in future. His efforts were exemplary!

The travel arrangements, accommodation, and food were excellent. The driver was excellent and the guide very good. I was with a lovely group of people. Unfortunately we had torrential rain at Arenal and Monteverde which meant that we got soaking wet and didn't see a lot. The other four locations were wonderful, particularly Savegre cloud forest. I would have loved to have stayed there another night and gone straight to the airport from there. I didn't particularly enjoy the farm visit and afterwards found myself covered in flea bites! Altogether though it was a great trip with beautiful birds and wonderful scenery.

It was ok the transfers between places were only communicated when asked so never knew pick up times in advance and shared transfers were not great I had to sit without any room to put my feet down with my old achy knees at my chest … my hips and knees hurt for days after. Don Taco hotel was terrible so small and run down room but very nice people.

This was probably the worst tour I've taken. Costa Rica was wonderful, no thanks to the tour. To start, I was told the transfer from airport to hotel would be $50 per person so we opted to get to the hotel on our own. Got a call at the hotel that they had waited for us and couldn't understand why I wasn't there....because I didn't pay for it and wasn't told that it was included!! Next...the tour director, Victor, wasn't reliable. He would give the "company line" and then not follow through. Just one example: we were supposed to make name cards to be used to rotate seats on the bus...never happened! He never learned names, and never made you feel part of a group, so there was no group cohesiveness. The quality of the hotels was not great. They were second rate, cleanliness lacking and many in varying states of disrepair (old). The food was mediocre and I'm not a foodie but lack of variety and lack of hot food when supposed to be hot, or cold when supposed to be cold leaves one desiring more. Each hotel got progressively worse, including location so by the time we got to the end, we were in single beds with a very limited menu to choose from at every meal. The last part of the trip, which everyone referred to as "the beach" was not an "add on" but part f the tour. Yet the tour director did not travel to the beach with the group of twelve, but went back to San Jose to end his tour. Strange....not a problem for me because I have traveled quite a bit by myself, but what actually was I paying for if not for a director who would oversee and make sure things went smoothly, as you will see with the final transfer. Then there was the issue with our transfer from hotel to airport at the end. We were told 7:15 and were there the required 10 minutes early, only to find that another couple was told 7:40 (according to them and the front desk) and were on our same transport! When confronted, Swiss Travel (who apparently is the umbrella for Costsaver) said that the other couple were just late, so as I said to them...someone is untruthful!

It was a good solo travel trip. BUT plan ahead. INDUS drops you off at hotel and then you are on your own in SAN Jose. We did get a map museums were closed on MOnday. research things to do, It can be extremely helpful to start researching your destination before you travel. Find out information about the city you are traveling to along with the area you will be staying in, so you can discover which stores and restaurants will be close by, get to know your way around the neighborhood, and familiarize yourself with attractions you want to see. Your journey will go smoother if you come prepared with ideas — and it will be a fascinating experience to see them come to life! The shuttle drivers were usually on time. Sunday was a busy travel day from Manuel Antonio hotel Tabula tree back to SAN JOSE PARK INN so beware of that. bus driver was late due to traffic almost an hour.

The trip to Costa Rica organized by Culture Trip was incredible! It was a perfect way to experience a country, and was a perfect blend of adventure & relaxing. The accommodations were wonderful and the local insider tips and historical/cultural knowledge provided along the way by our guide were much appreciated. It was a great way to travel as a solo traveler or as a couple.
