  I had four awesome days with Scottish Routes in speyside. The group was nice, the guide really good and patient. He drove us safely though it rained heavily for most of the time. If I would have been driving there, I would probably have suffered from a nervous breakdown after 2 hours. But Nick was totally cool. We visited so many distilleries, had very interesting tasting with a lot of variation (blind tasting at Aberlour, old cask from closed down distilleries at Royal Lochnagar, which we could choose, special and very rare bottles at Glenfarclas, and so on and on). It was not cheap, but worth every penny. The Haus Alba B&B was the best place I ever stayed on vacation. The weather could have been better, but that is not on Scottish Routes ;-)Show more

  Absolutely the best trip because of Moray, he is fantastic - extremely accommodating! Only issue was with the Ardconnel House with Tom & Francois first issue when we checked in was bedrooms - my daughter and her boy friend were to have double bed but room was made up as two twins (they put the beds together to make larger one bed) - my daughter was clearly upset and when we asked about it Tom complained to us he would have to remake the beds then) (We had paid quite a bit for Tour so the customer should be right?) - Well my wife spoke to him and he acquiesced remade the beds for us. Breakfast was always delicious and on time so everything seemed fine for our stay except on last day when we checked out - Moray was picking us and our luggage up at 9:15am to start our last day of tour. He pulled up to load us up about then we were outside except for my daughter and her boyfriend (they always run late) at 9:20 or so found out that Francois had just burst into their bedroom without knocking and yelled at my daughter (who was stil getting dressed and half naked) that everyone was waiting for them - she then proceeded to storm out of the house come down to the street where we were by the transport and complain to me that my daughter was selfish and not dressed at all and asked Moray our driver where we were going and to just leave and she would put them in a Taxi as they were holding us all up (she was practically yelling at driver that we should leave) My wife said they would be right down and Francois started to argue with my wife that they were no where near ready and that she was still dressing and in here underwear(this is in front of our whole group. She then told us to wait no more than 5 minutes and to be on our way and she would again send them in a taxi - She then went back into the house and proceeded to mention to my wife that they better leave a big TIP! My daughter came out of house with boyfriend ready to go at 9:27am and we were all on our way by 9:30am! Their paperwork explains that checkout is 10:00am - so I am not sure what business it is of Tom and Francois id we are late for our tour bus (the day before we were out at 9:15 as requested and Moray showed up about 9:30 (no problem - he is picking up three other stops to fill our bus) So I do not understand why this women would care weather we are late or not - that is something for us to deal with our Driver Moray and all the other people on the tour bus - WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF THIS ARROGANT WOMAN WHEN WE LEAVE AS LONG AS WE WERE OUT BY 10:00AM THE TOUR WAS GREAT BUT DO NOT LET THEM PUT YOU INTO THIS ARDCONNEL HOUSE - DO NOT STAY THERE!!!Show more
