I wanted to enquire if it would be feasible to have pescatarian and/or halal options for meals?

We've been running this tour for over 10 years, and many guests with dietary restrictions have joined us before. A pescatarian meal can be arranged as an alternative, but halal food can be hard to find in Korea, so availability may be limited outside of major cities.

I am looking at booking the 24 - 30 October trip and wondered does the package include accommodation for the nights of the 23rd and 30th October.

I'll be travelling with my son who is 11 years old. Does he get a discount?

We don't offer a child fare, aside from the infant fare for children age 3 and under, and we're not currently running any discounts through TourRadar. If you'd like a discount, we'd suggest checking the product on our official website.

I'm looking at this tour from 31 October to 6 November and just wanted to check if there are any alternative dates available. I have another tour starting in Japan on 5 November, but I can potentially miss the first day and need to be in Japan by the 6th. Would it be possible to finish the tour in Seoul or another major city by the 5th/6th so I could fly into Japan from there?

Our tour is scheduled to return around 5:00 PM on Friday, 11/6. Since this falls during rush hour, the trip from the tour's return point, the Amid Hotel (Jonggak Station), to Incheon Airport is expected to take roughly an hour and a half or more.

I'd just like to inquire about the all inclusive package. I understand there are vegetarian options, but if my family doesn't eat pork, will this be an issue?

A no-pork option is also available for participation. The guide will provide an alternative meal on-site.

The "Discover Korea in 7 Days" tour departing on September 26th is confirmed to run, and reservations are currently open. However, please note that the DMZ tour does not operate on Korean public holidays. Since the period of Sept. 24–27 falls during Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), it won't be possible to join the DMZ tour during that time. Additionally, the period of Oct. 3–5, right after your tour ends, also falls on Korean public holidays, so the DMZ tour won't be available then either. (Late September through early October includes several public holidays in Korea.)

What is the expected group size for the 24 October departure? I'm particularly interested in knowing whether it will be a small group or a larger coach group.

What is the typical age range of people who join this tour? I'm 53 and travelling solo, and I'd ideally like a mixed-age group with people around my age rather than a predominantly very young group.

How can I tell if the price I'm being quoted (USD 2500 solo) is categorized as All-Inclusive or Essential?

The actual tour and the tour guide were excellent but the structure of the tour was not satisfactory. The group was split into two groups and I was only offered one option when I first booked. I was given a bill for $1000 to upgrade to extra meals and accommodation grade an a couple of weeks before the tour start date.Obviously I didn’t want to pay an extra thousand dollars. I don’t recall having this choice when I booked and thought I was getting all those things provided firsthand. On the actual tour the group was split into two; those who had all the meals and those that just had breakfast. They were also split into two by different accommodation grades. This is not a satisfactoryenvironment for meeting people and it created a division in the group I felt. Although I am a confident traveller if I had been less so this would’ve been a real problem as I was left wandering at night while they had an evening meal. I had to wait till they finished before getting to my hotel. What should’ve happened is that this tourshould’ve been two separate tours. I have never been on a split tour like this before and I found it very awkward and unsuccessful. I certainly won’t be booking a split tour like this with you or them again.Show more

What a tour!!!! I have been on many tours; I have had many tour guides. I think that MARK has been the BEST tour guide I have ever had. There are so many good things to say about this tour that I really do not know where to start. I think that first I should talk about Mark, our tour guide, because he is a great part of the success of this tour. As I said, I have been on many tours with many guides, but Mark surpasses expectations. He is fun, intelligent, disciplined, patient, sweet, responsible, and dedicated. It is so obvious that he loves his job and how he makes sure that he infuses the tour participants with his own enjoyment. So, if you ever get to do this tour, I really hope that you have the blessing of having Mark as your guide. Our driver was Mr. Pyo. He is no short on Mark's skill and dedication. Mr. Pyo is a driver who makes you feel safe and comfortable; the bus was always clean and ready to go. The tour stops are well planned to introduce you to Korea's history and culture. Korea is a beautiful and profound country with so much to see and so much to do. Korea is a place that CANNOT be grasped in seven days, but the tour makes sure to tease you enough that you want to come back. I was really pleasantly surprised by the hotels and food that were provided throughout the tour. Everything was high quality and presented in a well-organized and coordinated fashion. Lastly, I want to say KUDOS to HanaTour, for having personnel such as Mark and Mr. Pyo and for the efficiency with which they work. Our daughter was able to travel the last four days of the tour with us. By the time I approached HanaTours to try to include her, the tour was sold out, and some other possibilities that would allow her to join us were sold out too. It is not noted that there are days when there is a walk of several hours that made it difficult for me to participate, since I have difficulty walking long distances. In all of these sites, the tour can be done in a wheelchair. If you can give the option of renting a folding electric wheelchair, it would make it easier for people like me. The chair can be stored along with the luggage in the trunk of the bus. The bus driver can handle the charging of the chair during the overnight parking. In addition, all the restaurants ordered by you serve only Korean food that is not suitable for every palate. In my opinion, you should give an option for Western food for those who have difficulty with the flavors of Korean food.Show more

  Day 1: The itinerary says that Day 1 starts at 8:00am. Does Day 1 fall on Saturday 14 November, meaning the tour activities begin that morning? Or does Day 1 refer to Sunday 15 November? I need to know whether I should arrive in Korea on the evening of 13 November, or whether arriving on 14 November is sufficient. In other words, are the Day 1 activities actually taking place on the 14th? Day 7 / End of the tour: Could you also clarify exactly how the tour finishes? If the tour is listed as 14–20 November, do we return to Seoul on Friday 20 November, and is accommodation provided that night, with the tour officially finishing the following morning? Or does the tour finish as soon as we return to Seoul on the 20th, with no additional accommodation provided that night? Basically, I'd really appreciate confirmation of exactly what Day 1 and Day 7 represent, including the accommodation arrangements on those days, so I can organise my flights and hotels correctly.

Accommodation for the night of November 20–21: Not included. As the tour departs early in the morning on November 14, we recommend arriving in Korea at least one day before the tour begins, preferably on November 13. Likewise, since the tour finishes around 5:00 PM on November 20, we recommend booking your flight for the following day, November 21, rather than departing on the same day.

Because of this, hotel prices may be somewhat higher during that period, and room availability may be limited.   However, please note that the DMZ tour does not operate on Korean public holidays. Since the period of Sept. 24–27 falls during Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), it won't be possible to join the DMZ tour during that time.
  
  Additionally, the period of Oct. 3–5, right after your tour ends, also falls on Korean public holidays, so the DMZ tour won't be available then either. (Late September through early October includes several public holidays in Korea.)

  I saw a statement saying deposits are nonrefundable as part of the booking process when there's a check box saying "I accept TourRadar's T&C and HanaTours payment cancellation and refund policies". When you click on those refund policies it states that deposits are always nonrefundable.
