The tour on this date is confirmed to depart. Our Discover Korea Tour is designed to be suitable for participants of all ages. For the dates in June, the tour usually operates with groups of around 8–15 people, with most guests coming from English-speaking countries such as the U.S., Australia, and Canada. The price you mentioned, USD 1,570 per person, is for the Essential package, which does not include meals (free dining) and provides 3–5 star hotel accommodations. If you book this option, the price is based on a twin room (shared by two people with two single beds).

The October 17 tour is confirmed to depart. Our tour departs even with just one participant, but there are already around 10 people booked for that date, and since it is the autumn peak season, we expect more participants to join. The Pre-DMZ Tour is available at USD 40 per person. It takes place on the Friday before the Discover Korea tour begins (October 16), departing in the morning and returning to Seoul at around 5:00 PM the same day.

    • HanaTour ITCOperatorWritten March 2026

Cancellation Policy: Up to 30 days before departure: You forfeit 10% of the tour cost. 29 days before departure: You forfeit 60% of the tour cost. 9 days before departure: You forfeit 80% of the tour cost. 1 day before departure: You forfeit 100% of the tour cost.

What's the maximum number of people you take on one tour? Is that booked through you? So if we had to cancel more than 30 days out, it's 100% refund? Just checking.

    • HanaTour ITCOperatorWritten March 2026

Our maximum group size is up to 35 people, so there is still availability at the moment. The Pre-DMZ Tour can be booked through us. It takes place on October 16, departing at 9:00 AM and returning to central Seoul at around 5:00 PM. As for the cancellation policy, a full refund is available up to 30 days before the tour departure. However, please note that a US$30 cancellation fee (TourRadar system fee) will still apply.

I assumed meals were included in the $2152 (a bit sneaky!) but it looks like it's about $550 more. We want to eat locally. Is the food included Korean food or western food? Not sure what to do. What do you suggest? What do most people do. We don't want to stray if most of the group is eating together.

    • HanaTour ITCOperatorWritten March 2026

This tour was originally offered only as an all-inclusive package. We have since introduced the [Essential] package to provide greater flexibility and allow guests to choose the option that best suits their preferences. The main difference between the two packages is the hotel category (3–5 star vs. 4–5 star) and whether meals are included. Meals are generally Korean cuisine, and Western dishes such as pizza or pasta are not typically provided. Lunch and dinner are not included, except for hotel breakfast. Meals will be enjoyed independently, with the following two options: Dine at the same restaurant as the guide and other participants, paying separately on-site. Alternatively, You may explore nearby cafés or restaurants using Google Maps or similar apps, within the scheduled time. To stay on schedule, we recommend dining at the same restaurant as the guide. If you wish to dine together with other participants, please inform the guide in advance. Please note that in certain areas, dining options may be limited to a single restaurant.

      TravelerWritten March 2026

Even the hotels are different? I figured the hotels were the same standard as we will be travelling as a group. If they're different hotels are they close to each other? Can you send names/photos of the hotels in the Essential so we can get a better idea of the standard?

    • HanaTour ITCOperatorWritten March 2026

The hotels are located close to each other, as the guide needs to assist all guests with check-in and check-out. You can find the hotel list for each package option by opening each day's tab and referring to the "Accommodation" section. In the Essential version, the hotels used are located in the same areas (within walking distance) as those in the All-Inclusive version. While the All-Inclusive version uses higher-tier hotels, the hotels in the Essential version are by no means inferior quality. The hotels that differ between the two versions are: Day 1: Gloucester Hotel Jeonju, Days 3–4: Ramada Encore Haeundae Hotel, Busan, Day 6: Ramada Hotel & Suites Pyeongchang

    Asked on March 12th, 2026

What do those who choose the "Essential" service do while the others are having lunch or dinner? How long does it usually take for the group to have lunch and dinner?

    Meals
    • HanaTour ITCOperatorWritten March 2026

The Essential Discover Korea Tour is exactly the same tour as the All-Inclusive version.
The only differences are in accommodation and meals.

      Regarding your question about meals:

      • In the All-Inclusive tour, meals are included, and participants will go to restaurants and dine together with the guide.
      • In the Essential tour, you are free to have your meal near the restaurant where the All-Inclusive group eats. Depending on the location, you will usually have about one hour of free time for the meal.
To help with this, we provide a QR code with nearby restaurant recommendations.

FYI: Google Maps does not work very well in Korea, so we strongly recommend downloading the local navigation app, Naver Map, in advance.

    Asked on March 10th, 2026

If I book the essential tour but change my mind later, can I upgrade to all inclusive?

    Price / Availability
    • HanaTour ITCOperatorWritten March 2026

It is possible to upgrade from the Essential tour to the All-Inclusive tour after making the initial reservation. However, if you book the Essential option and later wish to upgrade to All-Inclusive, we recommend confirming the change no later than 6 weeks before the tour departure (by August 1) so we can safely secure the hotel rooms.

Could you please review our product page once more? It is clearly stated both on the product page and in the option selection section that the "Essential" option does not include any meals except for breakfast.

Regarding the itinerary download issue, I have tested the "Email PDF" function and it is working correctly. Please double-check your spam or junk mail folder to see if it was delivered there.

FYR, the meal options listed on our product page are as follows:

      Meals
      - [Package Type : All-Inclusive]
-Full board meals are provided during the package tour, with the exception of dinner on Day 4 in Busan.
-The package includes 6 breakfasts at hotels, 7 lunches, and 5 Dinners at local restaurants.

-The package includes 6 breakfasts at hotels.
-Lunch and dinner are not included. Guests may choose to eat near the drop-off locations, or dine at the same restaurants used by All-Inclusive guests at their own expense. Please note that some drop-off locations may not have alternative dining options.

I will be a solo traveller. Please can you confirm the expected size of the group and what the group dynamic is like? Do people meet for dinner in the evenings or how does it work. What is the average travel time by bus between locations? For the pre tour optional DMZ visit - what time does the tour depart?

We currently have over 10 participants joined for this departure.

Regarding the tour options, please note the differences between the two versions:

      • All-Inclusive Version: Includes all meals and accommodations in premium 4 to 5-star hotels.
      • Essential Version: Offers more flexibility with meals (not included), and accommodations are provided in high-quality 3 to 5-star hotels.

Additionally, the DMZ Tour takes place on the Friday before the Discover Korea tour begins. The itinerary starts from Seoul at 09:00 and returns around 17:00.

Unfortunately, we do not operate the official Discover Korea package on July 27. From July 25 to August 21, we are on a scheduled break from regular tour operations, and during this period, only private tours are available. Please note that private tours are priced slightly higher than the standard Discover Korea group tour.
