This note will give the details of your Welcome Meeting on day 1 (usually between 5pm and 7pm), where you will get a chance to meet your CEO and other travellers, as well as learn more about how the tour will run. If you don't see a note, please ask reception for details! If you are arriving later and will miss the Welcome Meeting, your CEO will leave a note at reception for you with any information you may need, and with morning instructions for the next day.

Because of Australia's history at Sandakan, I really want to go to the memorial there. Wondering if this is possible

The day 2 hike is mainly descending. Get an early start to make it to the summit for sunrise. This portion of the hike takes about three to four hours. Stop in at the mountain huts before continuing to the park headquarters for lunch. Be prepared—the descent can be tough on the knees and takes approximately five to seven hours. This is rated as level 4 out of 5, which is a demanding physical rating.

Booking the trip was easy, and also getting an extra night and transfer from the airport to the hotel was good to organise. I had a warm welkom from the guide, who let us get to know each other and explained everything very well. Het put in allot of energy to tell us everything so there would be no surprise. Every day he would tel us what the plan was and asked what we liked, then he would try extra hard to make everything go good. I could not make it to the mounted top because I got sick, he walkt down with me and took goos care. We did some great optional things. If you go here, try to have him as your guide.Show more
