We are not operating this particular tour in the month of August but the other dates available are already posted on the website. If you want, we do have this tour in the months of July and September 2026.

Can you tell me the cost of pre nights accommodation as well as the start time of the tour on the 17th and end time on the 31st for us to book flights

We are unable to assist in reserving pre and post-accommodation. You can use Booking.com link for your reservations. We recommend checking back with us around 90 days before your departure, as we'll have more finalized information available by then.

Do you offer or assist with airport to hotel transfers or is that up to the discretion of the individual guests?

Regrettably, we can no longer assist with transfers. We recommend using public transport for airport-to-hotel transportation. If you prefer a transfer service, you can easily book through Welcome Pickups, a user-friendly platform with competitive prices.

What hotel does tour meet and end?

At this stage, the starting point of your tour is the following Hotel in Madrid. Hotel Zentral Castellana Norte. Please note that hotels may be subject to change if we encounter any unforeseen operational issues. Final confirmation on the starting Hotel and the list of Hotels booked for your Tour will be emailed 10-15 Days before the tour starts.

We don't offer custom or private tour arrangements. Our tours are pre-set group itineraries with fixed dates, routes, and inclusions. While we have a Spain tour including Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville, it includes other destinations and follows a set pace with 3- to 4-star hotel accommodations.

Will we know what hotels we will be staying in (throughout the tour) before we get to the meeting point on 4-May?

To answer your question, yes, you will be receiving the list of hotels 7 - 14 days prior to the start of the tour. 7 - 14 days before departure, our customer service team will send you a tour leader announcement with the following information: Name and contact number of the Tour leader, Emergency contact number, Confirmed list of Hotels, Confirmed itinerary, Link to the Facebook group, which includes the rest of the tour Group as well as the Tour Leader, Confirmed Meeting point on day 1.

Where do I find definition of 'adequate' travel Insurance?

Travel Insurance When you sign up for an Expat Explore tour, you are required to secure adequate travel insurance cover for the duration of your trip. If you cannot provide the Expat Explore team with a proof of adequate travel insurance prior to the start of your tour, you will not be permitted to embark on day one. Travel insurance should be as much a part of your travel preparation as packing your camera, sunglasses and passport! Incidents can happen from flight and baggage delays to injuries and sickness. Travel insurance gives you (and us) peace of mind, and, for this reason we make it compulsory for all Expat Explore passengers.

How rigorous is this trip?

We believe the best way to get to the heart and soul of a city is on foot, surrounded by the people and the culture. For this reason, we do walking tours through most of the cities we visit. Many of the cities you visit are vast and old, often with steps and cobblestones. Our walking tours can last up to 3 hours with plenty of opportunities to take photographs and soak up the history of these fascinating places, but you do require a certain level of fitness to enjoy your tour to its fullest.

Both knew their history and job, but had very different styles. It would have been better to have one for the entire trip. Very rigorous schedule, but we saw and did a lot. Hotels were extremely hit or miss. Really need to consider quality control. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz, but hot water is a must. Spending the night an hour outside of the city/town we’re scheduled to visit is also pretty unacceptable. Food was also hit or miss, but that wasn’t as important as the accommodations. Just please be attentive, especially with such a busy schedule. Everyone needed their rest and sometimes the hotels didn’t allow for much of that.Show more

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
