Is it possible to book an individual bike tour with a private group of 6 people in January 2027?

The tours offered on TourRadar's platform are small group tours - so for this trip you can have a party of 6 travelling but it will be in a group of up to 16 people total. We do have the option of doing tailormade or private groups for 4+ people though on our tours, but we don't have the capability for this through TourRadar. If doing it on a private basis is something you're interested in you can reach out to Intrepid directly about doing this tour as a private trip for just your party of 6.

Yes, we can certainly request a suitable bike for your height (192 cm). It's very important that you provide your height at the time of booking, so we can arrange an appropriately sized Specialized mountain bike for you. While XL frame sizes are limited, we'll do our best to secure the right fit. Our bikes can usually be adjusted for added comfort — such as handlebar height and saddle position. You're also welcome to bring your own saddle or SPD pedals, and our team will help you fit them at the start of the trip. Yes, a support vehicle and technical assistance are available throughout the ride to provide back-up, carry luggage, and help with minor repairs. Weather in Southern Thailand during the tour can be warm and humid with occasional rain showers. We recommend bringing light, breathable cycling clothes, a lightweight rain jacket, sunscreen, and a hydration pack or water bottles. Padded cycling shorts and gloves are also a good idea for comfort.

Does it included train sleeper back to Bangkok? Also what type of bikes are used?

The itinerary does not include a return sleeper train to Bangkok. If you are looking to return to Bangkok via sleeper train, you may need to arrange this separately. We use Specialized Pitch Pitch Sport 650b bikes for the Cambodia and Thailand trips. These bikes are mountain bike-style with flat bars, front suspension and 24 gears. This trip includes an option of a motorised bicycle (e-bike) at an additional cost.

How can I ensure a single room?

Single room availability can be requested, excluding certain nights like the overnight train, and is subject to additional costs.

How many kilometers will be covered by cycling on this tour?

The tour includes various cycling lengths, typically between 20 to 52 kilometers per cycling day.

What hotel does trip leave from in Bangkok and end in Krabi so I can look at booking additional days pre and post trip

I have done many cycling trips around the world, this was the first one with Intrepid, and am very impressed with the overal organisation of the whole trip. The guide and back up was excellent. Every time we stopped for a very welcome rest, out came the blue table, and within minutes we had a feast of, drinks, fruit, snacks, fresh banana fritters etc. Thank you Mr Black. I was also impressed with the safety aspect of the cycling in traffic, with our minivan stopping the traffic with his sirene going..   This trip will start the at Nouvo City Hotel in Bangkok and end at the Ibis Styles Krabi Ao Nang. We are able to arrange additional accommodation there if needed along with airport transfers. If you would like to add on a single supplement the additional cost would be $530 and excludes Day 2 (overnight sleeper train) where you will be in shared accommodation. To hire an E-Bike the cost would depend on your height/bike size for example a Medium e-bike would be around $285 AUD

  Bike helmets are compulsory for this trip. Unfortunately, we are unable to hire helmets locally, so we kindly ask that you bring your own from home. Regarding your sister's accommodation, we can certainly arrange for her to share a room with another female traveler, as all our trips operate on a twin-room sharing basis grouped by gender based on passport information. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
