Does G Adventures offer rolling deposits?

They sure do! G Adventures has The Lifetime Deposit policy, which allows you to save your initial deposit (one per person, per confirmed tour) for an unlimited time, be it 10 weeks or 10 years.

For the snorkelling excursion, is the equipment included or do I need to rent it?

The snorkelling equipment for the excursion is provided! No need to pay extra to rent the equipment.

Flying from LAX how do I get there and by what time?

For this one you would have to make your own arrangements to get to Ko Phi Phi. I believe an internal flight from Bangkok would be the best option. You need to meet the group at the Ton Sai Pier by 3pm.

My girlfriend and I went on the half trip from Phi Phi to Phuket. Even though sailing in Thailand is always beautiful, we were quite disappointed by the trip. Indeed, the description of the tour makes you think that there will be more "exploration" of the islands. In reality, we stayed on the boat pretty much all the time but for a quick look at a beach at 6 AM (to make sure it wouldn't be crowded) and for a dinner on Koh Yao Yai. The dinner could have been great except that we didn't have it on the beach (where there were many choices from cheap to expensive) but rather we went to a restaurant further away on the island with nothing exceptional. We got the feeling that our guide had a deal with the restaurant. The next day we visited an island that was beautiful before spending all day on the boat. The weather wasn't ideal (choppy waves); many people were feeling sea sick, but I think that wasn't the main problem. The food on board was great and we enjoyed the snorkelling enven though it could have been better (better spots, less pollution). The trip is extremely expensive for what it is and we could have seen much more if we had organized the trip ourselves. Our guide, Willy was nice but he did not prove much information (historical, cultural, etc) on the places we had visited; which is a shame since we read all about it in our Lonely Planet guide. Finally, upon arrival at the marina, we asked for some help for transportation and our guide negotiated a price that was outrageous since we knew the destination was 15 min away. He told us that we should trust him and that it would at least take 45 min... it took us 20 min in normal conditions. Again, we got the feeling that there was a side deal. All in all the trip is too expensive, lacks organized activities and general info on the region. This was the general impression of our group. Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and G Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
