    I am looking into this trip and trying to align with flights coming from Amsterdam. There is a flight that arrives 24 October at 17:00 at SJO Airport. It means missing the welcome meeting at 18:00 would this be a big problem?

That flight arrival would be fine though; once you book we can leave a note on your file indicating you will miss the welcome meeting that way your trip leader can just leave a note with reception for you on where to meet the next morning.

      You're absolutely right that the itinerary includes some free time, and this is deliberately designed to give you the freedom to choose from a variety of optional activities at each destination. You can explore all the available options directly on our website within the day-by-day itinerary. These include a great range of experiences such as relaxing in hot springs in La Fortuna, zip-lining through the cloud forest in Monteverde, wildlife cruises in Manuel Antonio, and local food and culture tours in San José. To keep things flexible, optional activities are usually arranged locally. At the welcome meeting on Day 1, you can simply share your interests and preferences with your tour leader, who will guide you through the available options and help organise bookings based on availability.
