G Adventures made this easier & more fun than I was expecting. Because they only pick good restaurants & hotels to stop at (the hotels weren't luxurious but were fine) I never had a health problem because of the food while I was on the tour (I did eat something at a shop at New Delhi airport on the way home that had an undesirable effect). I had a different guide every day & they were all knowledgeable & made things interesting. I highly recommend this tour. I'll travel with G Adventures again.Show more

What a mess. I have always wanted to take a tour with G Adventure and thought this was the right time and opportunity. I was in India for work and had a week to travel solo. My itinerary was not updated in the G Adventure App. I did not receive an email with Vouchers and I had to email them to as the name of the hotel I should go to to meet my tour in Delhi. Well it only got worse from there. As a woman traveling alone in a foreign country I had never visited before I thought I would feel safe being on a G Adventure. Not the case. I arrived at a hotel that was in an OK part of town. When I went to check in the hotel did not have a G Adventure tour there that day and did not have a reservation for me. With the time difference to Canada and the UK I was worried. the kind folks at the hotel front desk tried to help but how could they. Calling G Adventure was no help - teach time I have called I am on hold for at least 45 minutes. And then the front desk got in touch with someone who was supposedly the tour guide but he was on the phone and I had no proof or confirmation of who he was. All I knew was that he was telling me to go to a different hotel. That did not feel right or safe. I had no email from G Adventure operations and no information in my tour on their app. All this was uncomfortable, stressful and shows a lack of operational excellence and detail follow-through on the part of G Adventure. I could not take the tour in the end I wound up with colleagues who came to pick me up because they felt the situation was unreasonable and unsafe. Very disappointing to day the least.Show more
