    1.0 - Bad

I completely agree with the previous review apart from I would only like to leave 1*. This trip for me was terrible, I'm a solo traveller and was told by STA I would be island hopping with a largeish group of young travellers, there was 4 girls in my group including me, 2 of which didn't speak English. On all islands there was limited activities to do, Ko phangyan was an absolute dive, we stayed in a remote beach resort with absolutely nothing to do for 2 days, the most you could do was a long walk or hike at best but again limiting if you are the only one keen to do something. The resort was nice for a couple on their honeymoon but the kind of place you would only want to be for half a day then you'd lose your mind!! Again completely ruined my travel plans as we got to experience nothing. The only activity included was snorkelling in Ko Tao which we saw absolutely nothing (Could be because it was the lowest cost and so wasn't planned in a good area). Overall, I am very unhappy with everything about this tour, not the first time I've been let down by g adventures and I won't be using them again or recommend to any of my friends - we had no time to do any activities due to transportation and location which was completely unessecary, time in SE Asia I won't be able to get back so overall I would avoid at all costs... you could easily do this on your own and meet people in hostels along the way and save so much money or find another trusted travel agency who have more included on the itinerary!!!

Thanks for your post Katie, and I'm sorry things didn't go according to plan here. it seems we have some work to do in regard to the logistics here, specifically the accommodation and activities.

    4.0 - Good

This was my first time in Asia and therefore I thought that it might be a good idea to book a tour so that I didn't have to travel by myself and of course having a knowledgeable guide wouldn't hurt either. I have to say that we were quite unlucky with the weather since it was raining almost every day but we were a small group of very cool people which made the tour a nice experience anyway. The tour itself was well organised, the tour guide very friendly and the accommodations were really good. But overall I have to say that the value for money is not as high as I expected. Besides a few breakfasts, accommodations, transports there was only one single activity included in the tour price. Considering the generally low prices in Thailand this tour turned out to be way to expensive for what it is. We had a lot of free time to explore ourselves because no activities were included, of course at our own expenses exactly like all the meals. The guide was friendly and he answered our questions when we asked him some but to be honest. I often didn't find him really helpful. Most of the time we arrived at the new destination and after giving us the key to our room he more or less disappeared and left us on our own without giving us a brief insight of possible activities to do and where to book them. That was a little bit disappointing for me. On Koh Pangan we were staying in a very remote, private resort, which was great itself but the weather was bad and besides watching tv, eating and having a massage there was absolutely nothing to do and no possibility to get near a town in a reasonable amount of time. We saw nothing of the island but a private beach of a resort who offered no activity at all! And finally on Koh Tao we arrived only in the afternoon of the first day, the 2nd day was a full day snorkelling exkursion (which was good) and the 3rd day we left at 13.30h in the afternoon. So it is nice to say that we have time to explore ourselves but with a planning like that were people only get halft days there is no way you can book a trip or even do diving on an island that is famous for. That was the most disappointing part for me. So to sum it up I wouldn't recommend this tour. I was lucky to have at least an amazing group, but the tour itself is way to expensive with a not well thought-out itinerary. Plan the island hopping on your own and you will not only save money but be able to actually do activities you like and not be disappointed because you can't do them cause of the strange itinerary. I wouldn't do this tour again.
