The trip was very interesting and we saw the popular places but also some great rural ones too, so we felt we had a glimpse of the real India. Our guide was very knowledgable on culture, history and current affairs and very efficient. We stayed in a variety of places including a palace, havelli and tent.

    2.0 - Rather poor

The Stay choices could not possibly be any worst. In one stop we were facing a rat-infested dumpster. In another, my bed was crawling with red ants. Think Motel 6/Travelodge. Disgusting filth everywhere. The guide was good but there was a very pretty 23-year old in our group and completely disregarded the rest of the group. followed her like a puppy. He limited all the activities to what was convenient to him. We visited temple after temple without much else. The train ride probably the worst 15 hours I've spent. The G-Adventure bus has A/C for the guest but the poor driver and companion are left out in the hot weather which makes zero sense. Varanasi, I could have done without. The dead body smell was overpowering. Not worth the tortuous detour.

I would definitely recommend this trip. Dushyant our guide was unbelievable. He took us to places that I never would have been able to do on my own. Going to a Sikh temple and eating with the locals, traveling to a fort at night, camping out in a village and visiting a local school were just some of the unique experiences. So many awesome moments and much more than just a monument tour. Highly recommended this trip!

    3.5 - Good

The trip was fantastic with a few exceptions. The overnight rain was inhumane. Three people stacked in tiny, hard bunks. Train noisy, bumpy and dirty. Thirteen hours of discomfort. I became ill and had to be helped off the train and transported to he hotel with the luggage in a turk tuck.

    5.0 - Excellent

Our trip ran like clockwork and Mandy, our guide, was fantastic - nothing fazed her. i would say that the hotel we started from in New Delhi was poor as they have obviously become cosy with getting G Adventures' custom that they seem to have forgotten that we are guests. From managers down it seemed that guests were a nusance that had to be put up with. Thankfully this was the only place where we experienced this attitude.

Excellent tour guide. He was friendly, approachable, and extremely helpful. He helped remove all complexities in a country full of complexities. For example, he took care of all the tipping, buying tickets, selecting restaurants, etc. Transportation methods and hotel accommodations were excellent. I would choose G Adventures for my next adventure.

What are people saying about TourRadar?

    • James12th May 2018
I was able to sort through the various trips until I found a couple I wanted to take. After I booked I misjudged the travel time between when one tour ended and when I had to get to the next one (I didn't realize there were no evening flights where I was). TourRadar was great in connecting me with the tour operator and they were in turn great with helping me change the itinerary so I could do both trips without any extra hassle.
