Our tour leader Joe was fantastic — a great storyteller with plenty of Irish humour and even a few songs along the way! Pat, our driver, was wonderful and kept us safe throughout the trip. This was my first tour, and I really enjoyed that it was small in terms of guests. I was travelling solo so I enjoyed being able to see places that I wouldn’t have seen if I was a driver. I loved all of the spots and was blown away by the. Flying boat museum. I personally wanted more time to explore in the towns where we stopped for meals. I am a walker and I really like to wander. Thrilled to have kissed the Blarney Stone, but then I didn’t have time to check out the shop and the gardens. Our driver Martin was an excellent driver. I found him a bit quiet, although constant yelling would make me crazy. I had to sit at the front because I get sick so I was right behind him. If I asked any question, he had tons of information and it was super interesting. But would like if it was offered rather than soft SOUGHT. There was an issue on our tour with the mediaeval dinner. Originally it was supposed to be at 5:30 and then switched to 830. Most the people on my tour were not happy and so we just didn’t go. That seems to be a waste of money and time and I would’ve been happy if it did not change I was thinking it was not such a big deal but an Irish friend of mine says it is wonderful. So that was money down the drain. I really liked being in a small bus. We took some interesting detours on the narrow lanes and I loved it. I would travel with Royal Irish again Thank youShow more

Our guide, Karin and our driver, Alan were terrific! The tour is good but a bit unbalanced. The more exciting things happened at the end of the week. There is a lot of time on the bus and not enough time in the small towns. Two nights in cork was way too much. If you didnt venture to the Blarney Castle on your own there wasnt much to do in cork. The accommodations in Cork were not good. Our room had no hot water in the shower. They moved us for the second night but that shower still only was barely lukewarm. All the other hotels were wonderful and the meals delicious. What made this tour was our group. They were loads of fun and all so very nice. Things to keep on the tour: marine Bar, the 2 ships, cliffs of Moor, Day in Dublin. Things to change: add more time in Dingle and other small towns. Maybe tour Blarney Castle or New Ross Castle or add the visitor center at the Moors. Do not stay two nights in Cork or dont stay at all. Maybe do two nights in Dingle. I think the structure of the trip needs to be revamped.Show more
