  I have had an amazing time on this tour. Everything was well organised and it took the ease out of travelling alone in a country I couldn’t speak the language in. In particular, I thought our tour guide, Priya, was very good, organised and made the group feel comfortable together. I really appreciated how she always would find restaurants that would that had vegetarian options (which can be hard being in South Korea)! The communication was always super clear and I always felt safe and taken care of. She was one of the highlights of my visit.Show more

  My recent experience with the South Korea "Essential Tour" was unfortunately disappointing and did not meet the expectations set by the company’s promotional materials. Compared to other tours I’ve taken, this one lacked structure and proper organisation. The itinerary felt rushed, and I often found myself struggling to keep up with the pace. While the destinations themselves were undoubtedly beautiful, we were given very limited time to appreciate them. In several instances, it felt as though too many sites were packed into a short timeframe, or the selected locations were not well-suited to the nature of the trip. Despite visiting multiple culturally significant sites, including several temples, there was a noticeable lack of informative commentary from the tour guide. We received minimal historical or cultural context, which significantly reduced the educational value of the experience. I had booked the 10-day "Essential Tour" based on the information provided on the website and in a pre-trip email. However, several advertised activities were cancelled without explanation. In order to participate in certain activities alongside the rest of the group, I was required to pay additional fees, despite having already paid for a full package. This was both unexpected and unacceptable. Furthermore, I have yet to receive any clarification from either the head office or the local representatives regarding these issues. The only reason I did not rate this tour with one star is because of the incredible group of fellow travellers. We supported one another throughout the experience and managed to create enjoyable moments despite the shortcomings of the tour itself. That said, I would not recommend this tour, nor would I consider booking future travel with One Life Adventures or through TourRadar.Show more

Our Essentials tour is a stripped back version of our Classic tour which does not include some of the key activities that our Classic tour provides - our aim was for this style of tour to cater to a lower budget and more freedom to explore as each traveller wishes - this is why some of the activities will have been provided for others in the tour, but not for yourself. We apologise for any confusion regarding this and have passed this on to the relevant teams to ensure that moving forwards all of our guests are aware of what their tour includes as we don't want anyone to feel left out. We will notify our Operations team regarding the pace of the tour & information provided - whilst we endeavour to show our guests around at a wide range cultural landmarks and activities, we don't want your time there to be rushed - we want everyone to have the time to appreciate these places and have plenty of insight and knowledge about them, which unfortunately we missed the mark on for this occasion as you mentioned. We are pleased to hear that you had a great time with your group. Thank you again for your feedback and we truly hope you were able to create some amazing memories during your time in South Korea.

  Tour was great for a first timer to South Korea! Lots of sightseeing, good food and activities. Damien was the best guide - he took us to a lot of places where we wouldn't have thought of going! And it was very handy to have a Korean guide to break the language barrier in certain areas.Show more
