- Tongariro Alpine Crossing - challenging full-day hike (12 miles/20 kilometers, 7-8 hours) through dramatic volcanic terrain with emerald lakes, steaming vents, lava fields, and active craters. Must be confirmed at time of booking. Increases activity level to Level 4.

- Guided cave walk through Ruakuri Cave - dry option with limestone formations, crystal tapestries, stalactites and stalagmites, and glow-worm viewing
- Cave tubing black water rafting - wet option fully equipped with wetsuit, helmet, headlamp and inflatable tube, floating through underground river sections including calm drifts and small cascades with glow-worm viewing
