You'll land at Noi Bai International Airport and meet your guide after getting through customs. From there, transfer to your hotel and get settled in for the night.

Hanoi
Spend the day exploring Hanoi's historical sites, starting at the Ho Chi Minh Complex with the Mausoleum, his residence, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Next, move on to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (Women's Museum replaces this on Mondays), then head to Tran Quoc Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, and Hoa Lo Prison. Lunch at a local restaurant includes vegetarian options.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Head east from Hanoi through Red River Delta rice-farming villages toward Halong Bay. Board a traditional junk boat and cruise among 3,000 limestone islets. Seafood dinner comes that evening, and you'll have the chance to swim from the boat if you like.

- Day 4
Halong Bay to Da Nang to Hoi An
Wake early for optional Tai Chi on deck or catch the sunrise from your boat. Have morning coffee or tea, then explore nearby islands by rowboat. After breakfast on the junk, spend time on the sundeck looking at the rock formations. Brunch follows before returning to shore, then transfer to Hanoi airport for your flight to Da Nang. Your driver meets you there and takes you to your Hoi An hotel.

Hoi An
Choose a morning or afternoon slot (9:00 AM to 12:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM) to craft a colorful lantern with local artisans, then ride traditional bamboo basket boats through coconut forests in Cam Thanh. Try fishing, watch boat performances, and learn a cooking demo with fire show before eating a 7-dish set meal. The rest of your day stays free to wander Hoi An's ancient town, eat at riverside restaurants, check out the night market, or catch cultural performances.

Wander through French Village Campanile, Nine Floor Goddess Shrine, temples, and monasteries, plus catch the Carnival Performance Show. Try the Alpine Coaster for free, then grab lunch at the buffet. Check out Fantasy Park if time works out before taking the cable car down. Later, transfer to Da Nang to browse Han Market's fresh produce and local goods, ending with dinner at a local restaurant.

Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
Travel to My Tho and cruise the Mekong River, passing stilt houses and fruit plantations. Stop at My Tho fishing village with its floating fish farms, then Tortoise Island for lunch in an orchard. Ride through Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre under water coconut trees, visit a family business showing rural life, take a rowboat through creeks, trek through fruit plantations, then head back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Lunch at a local restaurant follows, then travel to Cu Chi Tunnels (a massive underground network spanning nearly 250 kilometers used for communication, storage, hospitals, and living quarters). Walk through the tunnels to feel what it was like. Before returning to the city, try boiled tapioca and hot tea.
