  Unfortunately I cannot recommend this tour nor the tour company to other travellers. Our experience was chaotic and we observed that our tour was very poorly coordinated by staff and with partner hotels. Although we booked a specific tour, our tour guides and tour group were constantly changing. Firstly we were taken to a hotel that was not on our itinerary. This is problematic as I was travelling with a child and needed to provide accurate information to his other parent regarding the itinerary. The next morning, there were approximately 200 people lined up for breakfast as the tour company did not seem to coordinate breakfast with the hotel. Breakfast opened at 7 and we were leaving at 7:30. Needless to say the bus group had a delayed departure. On one of our days we had a very early start and travelled a great distance. Unfortunately, we were not booked at the same hotel as the rest of the group we were travelling with. When we dropped other travellers off at 2 hotels, we were informed that our tour guide was going to “send us” to another hotel in an uber. We did not reach this third hotel until about 9pm, after having a lunch stop around 1pm that day. When we went into the dining room for dinner, we were yelled at by staff who refused to seat us because we did not know what colour group our table was, as we had arrived without a guide and were not provided this information. The hotel staff turned and left without seating us. I took my child to an empty table. When I requested cutlery, staff refused to provide us with a knife and fork. I had to repeat my request forcefully as it was very late and I was travelling with my child who needed to eat. We had a similar problem the next morning where staff refused to seat us as we were not part of a larger group and other travellers refused to let us sit at their tables. I don’t typically make a fuss, but we had been treated quite poorly that I found the newest tour guide assigned to us and made a verbal complaint as well as a written complaint to the company. In a response to my written complaint, I was told that we were “given the option of a taxi” so as not to sit through several hotel drop offs. This was simply not true. We were never given the option of a taxi. We were told that after dropping off all of the other travellers, we were being sent to another hotel in an uber to meet a different guide. Once I made the verbal complaint, our guides began making an effort to check in with us. As we were near the end of the tour, we were given multiple verbal instructions about where to meet etc, only to have the guide come up and say “that doesn’t apply to you.” On our final day in Lisbon, there were no guides available to speak to. There was no real “end” to the tour, so we checked out of the hotel and that was that. Overall, it was a very poor experience and I will not travel with them again.Show more

  An excellent tour with the exception of when we were dropped off for free time, we had to arrange our own transport back to the hotel which became difficult to arrange. One bus driver had no respect for the unloading of luggage, and I had witnessed the throwing of a suitcase and breaking the wheel off it. To reiterate the tour was of a high standard.Show more

This is because, based on our experience, once passengers are on their own during free time, they usually choose not to take the return transfer to the hotel. Therefore, this service is generally not carried out, except in cases where returning might be more complicated.
