We really liked guide Amparo — a true professional with drive, dedication, discipline, human quality and excellent application of the itinerary. I admired her way of maintaining discipline regardless of travelers' ages, always with great respect and sensitivity. We also very much liked the accommodation locations selected. Obviously we won't omit the sites we visited — clearly more time is needed to fully enjoy each location, which we will remedy on future visits. Of all the cities visited, all are majestic.   "Partly guided" means that the tour includes both guided and independent segments. Yes, there will be a tour leader/guide accompanying the group during the main travel days and key visits. In certain cities, you may also have local guides for specific sightseeing tours. There may be some free time or shorter connections (especially when traveling to/from the Aeolian Islands) where arrangements are organized, but not every moment is guided. The mainland portions of the tour are generally operated with a dedicated coach for the group. For island connections (Aeolian Islands), travel is typically by scheduled ferry or boat service, as that is the standard way to reach them. So you won't be navigating public transportation on your own — the logistics are organized for you.

  Yes, this is absolutely possible. On our regular group tours, if you are traveling solo, you may choose the shared room option instead of paying the full single supplement. The supplement for this arrangement is €45, and we will match you with a same-gender roommate (age may vary) in a twin room. Kindly note: in some hotels, the twin room may consist of one double bed and a sofa bed. By selecting the shared option, travelers agree to this setup and to coordinate sleeping arrangements directly with their roommate, without hotel or tour operator intervention.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
