If you speak English, this is NOT a tour for you!!! Also, so many things we were told to expect didn’t happen! We...
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your experience on our "Czech Republic, Budapest, and Tour of Northern Poland" tour. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify opportunities to improve our services.
We are truly sorry to learn that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the communication provided in English. We understand how important it is for every traveler to feel fully informed and included throughout the journey, and we regret that this was not your perception.
After reviewing your comments with the tour leaders involved, we would like to clarify a few points. Our guides have confirmed that information was provided in both English and Spanish/Portuguese throughout the tour, with time allocated to each language according to the composition of the group. They also explained that, during walking visits, tour leaders are legally unable to provide historical commentary in locations where local licensed guides are required. In those cases, they focus on offering practical information, orientation, recommendations, and logistical assistance, while historical explanations are provided either by licensed local guides or during the coach journeys whenever possible.
Regarding your visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau, the itinerary includes the visit to Birkenau, and the time available is determined by the entrance schedule assigned by the local authorities. The tour leaders also explained that, due to the site's regulations, they are not permitted to provide commentary inside the memorial, so the historical background is presented on the coach before arrival.
Concerning the seating arrangements, our operational procedure is that seats are not assigned at the beginning of the day. However, once passengers choose a seat for that day's journey, they are asked to keep the same seat until the end of the day to avoid unnecessary disruptions and conflicts when boarding and disembarking.
That said, we sincerely regret that you felt excluded due to the language balance and that some situations led you to believe English-speaking guests were receiving less attention. Regardless of the operational procedures, every passenger should feel equally informed and supported, and we are sorry that this was not your experience.
We are pleased to know that you enjoyed the destinations, the itinerary itself, several of the hotel locations, and the quality of the breakfasts. Nevertheless, we understand that these positive aspects did not compensate for the frustration you experienced during the tour.
Your comments have been shared with our Operations Department, as they provide valuable insight into areas where we can continue improving the experience for our international guests, particularly regarding multilingual communication and consistency of information.
Thank you once again for your candid feedback. We sincerely regret that we did not deliver the experience you expected, and we appreciate the opportunity to review your comments internally.
Kind regards,
Europamundo Team
