- Day 1
Rio de Janeiro
Your German-speaking guide meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel with some orientation about the area. If you're arriving in the morning, there's a free walking tour through Copacabana that you can join to get oriented.

- Day 2
Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast, your guide picks you up for the cable car ride up Sugar Loaf Mountain, with a stop at Morro da Urca first. From the top you'll see the beaches, Niterói, the Atlantic rainforest, and landmarks like Santa Cruz fortress and Ilha Fiscal. Then you'll head to historic Rio to check out the Metropolitana de São Sebastião cathedral and the famous Selarón steps. By early afternoon you're back at your hotel with the rest of the day free.

Rio de Janeiro
Your guide picks you up in the morning to head to Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado mountain at 710 meters high. The cogwheel train departs from Cosme Velho district and gives you views of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Jardim Botânico, and the lagoon. You'll have time to take photos and take in the views. The afternoon is yours to do what you want, or you can take an optional 4-hour tour into Tijuca National Park to see viewpoints, Cascatinha waterfall, and the rainforest.

Rio de Janeiro to Foz do Iguaçu
After breakfast, your Portuguese-speaking driver takes you to Rio airport for your flight to Foz do Iguaçu. When you land, your German-speaking guide meets you and takes you straight to the Brazilian side of the waterfalls. You'll hike about 1 kilometer with several viewpoints, ending at the dramatic Devil's Gorge. Then you'll access the upper section by panoramic lift before heading to your hotel.

- Day 5
Foz do Iguaçu
After breakfast, you head with your guide to the Argentine side of the falls. You'll walk the upper and lower paths, visit Ilha San Martin island, and cross a long footbridge to the impressive Devil's Throat. Throughout the day you'll see the waterfalls from different angles surrounded by lush greenery. Later you'll return to Brazil and your hotel.

Foz do Iguaçu to Manaus
Your guide takes you to Foz do Iguaçu airport in the morning for your flight to Manaus, the gateway to the Amazon. Manaus sits on the Rio Negro about 11 kilometers before it meets the Rio Solimões. When you land, your English-speaking driver meets you and takes you to your hotel, just a short walk from the historic center and its famous theater.

- Day 7
Manaus to Amazon Turtle Lodge
Your driver picks you up around 07:30 to begin the journey to Amazon Turtle Lodge on Turtle Lake, about 80 kilometers southeast of Manaus. After a 20-minute drive you reach Ceasa river port, then board a speedboat where you'll watch the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões converge to form the Rio Amazonas. You'll travel by minibus along the highway and take another speedboat up the Rio Mamori past small villages. Lunch is at the lodge. In the afternoon, you'll explore by motor canoe with your German-speaking guide, looking for monkeys, sloths, iguanas, dolphins, and birds. Dinner is served at the lodge.

Amazon Turtle Lodge
You'll start early to catch the sunrise with chances to see morning-active animals. After breakfast, your experienced guide takes you on a jungle tour explaining the local flora and fauna and teaching survival techniques. After lunch, you'll try piranha fishing with a bamboo rod while your guide finds good spots. In the evening, you'll go on a night expedition with flashlights looking for caimans in the water. Your guide can catch them by hand and you'll have the option to hold one before it's released.

Amazon Turtle Lodge to Manaus
In the morning, you'll visit a local family at a small riverside settlement to learn about their life and culture. On the way back, stop at a manioc plantation to see how manioc flour is made. After lunch at the lodge, you'll return to Manaus by the same route, arriving at your hotel around 17:00.

- Day 10
Manaus to Imbassaí
Your English-speaking driver takes you to Manaus airport for your flight to Salvador da Bahia. Your German-speaking guide meets you at the airport and drives you to the seaside resort of Imbassaí, about an hour away. You'll travel along the palm-fringed coconut coast. Your pousada is right in the beach dunes on a kilometer-long sandy beach.

- Days 11 - 12
Imbassaí
You'll have the freedom to organize your time as you like. The pousada has a kilometer-long beach directly in front with simple bars serving drinks, snacks, and meals by the water. In the village center of Imbassaí there are various restaurants for dinner. You can book optional activities like beach horse riding, kayaking through the dunes, or trips to the neighboring village of Praia do Forte. A day trip to Salvador with a Portuguese-speaking driver and German-speaking guide is also available.
