I enjoyed all of the classes: Tai Chi, calligraphy and Chinese cooking, and all of the extra activities offered; even watching 600 performers (some wearing plastic ponchos) on the Li River in the pouring rain! The tasty Chinese banquets were inexpensive and included dishes with regional variations. The excursions to the famous tourist attractions allowed adequate time to appreciate each attraction. The Outside Inn was a welcome change in accommodation style from the big city style hotels.Show more

  You mentioned that private room options are sold out, but also indicated you could "request a room for the guest" at the cost of $1,779 USD, provided the tour is booked. Could you clarify — is this $1,779 the cost for a single traveler occupying a double room alone (sole occupancy of a twin/double), separate from the base tour price? Is this sole occupancy option actually available for the June 20 departure, or is it also subject to availability like the private room? To confirm: if my client books the tour, you would formally submit a request to your team to ensure he is not paired with another traveler in his room — and the $1,779 covers that guarantee?

  While the standard My Own Room (single supplement) option is currently sold out for the June 20 departure, we may still be able to submit a request for sole occupancy on your client's behalf once the booking is confirmed. The $1,779 USD refers to the single supplement cost, which would allow your client to occupy a twin/double room on their own (i.e., no roommate). This cost is in addition to the base tour price. This option is not guaranteed at this stage and remains subject to availability. Upon booking, we would formally request this with our operations team. If confirmed, the supplement would ensure your client is not paired with another traveller. If having a private room is essential, we recommend booking as soon as possible so we can submit the request and advise on confirmation.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 17th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 17th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with National Geographic Expeditions with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and National Geographic Expeditions with G Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
