Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Medan
After landing at Kualanamu International Airport in Medan, your guide will pick you up and drive you to Bukit Lawang. The journey takes you past rubber and oil palm plantations before the landscape shifts to lush green hills surrounding the rainforest. You'll check in at Bukit Lawang Cottage, which sits right by the river, then have the rest of the day to settle in and relax by the water.

- Day 2
Bukit Lawang
Starting early, you'll head out on a guided three-hour trek through Leuser National Park's tropical rainforest. Walking beneath the dense canopy, you'll search for Thomas Leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, gibbons, and hopefully orangutans in their natural surroundings. After returning to the lodge to rest, you can either stay put or wander through the local village later in the afternoon if you have the energy.

Bukit Lawang to Brastagi
From Bukit Lawang, you'll travel into Brastagi's cool highlands, passing through rural villages and terraced fields with Sinabung Volcano visible in the distance. Once there, you can walk through Lhumbini Park to see its golden pagoda, check out the colourful fruit market, and climb Gundaling Hill for panoramic views across the region.

Brastagi to Samosir Island
After breakfast, you're heading to Lake Toba and Samosir Island. On the way, you'll stop at the traditional Batak Karo village of Dokan to learn about local culture and their longhouses. Then you'll see Sipisopiso waterfall (90 metres), take in views from Tele lookout, and visit Efrata Waterfall. Before reaching your lakeside accommodation on Samosir Island, you'll pass through Lumban Suhi-suhi to see traditional Ulos cloth weavers at work.

- Day 5
Samosir Island
Samosir Island's heritage keeps you busy today, starting in Ambarita where ancient Batak kings once lived, complete with stone chairs and historical sites. From there, you'll go to Tomok to see where the Sidabutar kings were buried and learn more about the island's spiritual history. Later, you'll head to Aek Natonang, a peaceful high-altitude lake, then return to the hotel to rest before your farewell dinner overlooking Lake Toba.

Departure from Samosir Island
After breakfast, you'll board the ferry back to Parapat while taking in final views of Lake Toba. From there, it's a drive to the airport for your onward flights, leaving with memories of North Sumatra's landscapes, culture, and the warmth of the people you've met along the way.
