Arrival in Bangkok
You'll land in Bangkok and clear immigration and customs. Look for your tour representative holding a sign in the arrival hall, and they'll handle your bags and drive you to the hotel for check-in.

- Day 2
Bangkok
After breakfast at your hotel, head to the Royal Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew to see the Golden Chedi and the Pantheon of the Chakri Kings. From there, walk to Wat Pho, which served as Thailand's first university and features beautiful murals and traditional massage. Later in the afternoon, you'll take a long-tail boat along the Chao Phraya River and through the quiet Thonburi canals. The main stop is Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, where you can see the 104-meter Khmer-style tower covered in colorful Chinese porcelain mosaics.

Mae Klong Train Market, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, and Kanchanaburi
Check out early and drive to Samut Songhkhram to watch the famous Maeklong Train Market fold up as the train pulls in. You'll see local vendors selling fruits, vegetables, and seafood. Then continue to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and take a paddle boat through the canals to see how locals trade fresh produce. From there, drive to Kanchanaburi and visit the War Cemetery with 9,000 graves, then tour the Bridge Over The River Kwai built by POWs during WWII. Stop at the JEATH Museum, which covers Japan, England, America and Australia, Thailand, and Holland. By evening, you'll explore a traditional market before having dinner on your own.

- Day 4
Kanchanaburi to Ayutthaya
Check out and transfer to River Kwai Bridge station for a train ride on the Death Railway to Tham Krasae Station, departing at 11:02 and arriving at 12:12. You'll visit Krasae Cave, a former POW rest spot that now holds a Buddha image. After lunch at a local restaurant, drive about 3 hours to Ayutthaya. Check in to your hotel and have free time. An optional Ayutthaya Dinner Cruise is available from 7 to 9 PM aboard a traditional teak rice barge with Thai food and views of the city.

- Day 5
Ayutthaya
Start with breakfast at your hotel and enjoy free time using the hotel facilities. Then explore Ayutthaya's ruins, the former second capital of Thailand for 417 years until 1767. Visit Ayutthaya Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, starting with Wat Phra Sri Sanphet at the spiritual center of the Royal Palace. Next, go to Wat Mahathat where you'll see a Buddha head growing from a tree, surrounded by artifacts from the past 600 years. After lunch at a local restaurant, stop at a market to try Roti Saimai, Ayutthaya's signature candy floss dessert wrapped in pandan-flavored crepes. Your final temple stop is Wat Kudi Dao, a restored temple with local history. Later in the afternoon, fly to Chiang Rai and transfer to your hotel.

- Day 6
Golden Triangle and Chiang Rai
Leave in the morning for the Golden Triangle where the Ruak River and Mekong River meet at the borders of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. From the viewpoint, you'll see the three countries separated by calm water. Visit the House of Opium Museum to learn about opium trade history and hill tribe culture. Continue to Chiang Saen on the Mae Khong River banks across from Laos, visiting Wat Phrathat Pha Ngao with a Buddha image estimated between 700 and 1,300 years old. Climb to Phra Borommathat Phuttha Nimit Chedi for surrounding views. After lunch, visit Wat Rong Suea Ten, the Blue Temple with its distinctive blue architecture. In the evening, explore Chiang Rai by visiting the King Mengrai Monument, the Golden Clock Tower with light-and-sound shows at 20:00 and 21:00, and the night market with restaurants and optional classical dance.

Baan Dam Museum, Wat Huay Pla Kang, Wat Rong Khun, and travel to Chiang Mai
Check out and tour Baan Dam Museum, the Black House, an artistic creation by National Artist Achan Thawan Duchanee with over 25 black buildings showcasing Northern architecture, carved wood patterns, and folk art exhibits. Next, visit Wat Huay Pla Kang with the impressive nine-story Phop Chok Dhamma Chedi and a white Wihan housing a 79-meter-tall Guan Im Bodhisattva. After lunch, drive south to Wat Rong Khun, the White Temple designed by artist Achan Chalermchai Kositpipat, featuring silver mirrors, serpent decorations, and master murals. Then drive about 3 hours south to Chiang Mai, passing Mae Kha Chan Hot Spring. You'll arrive in the evening, check in to your hotel, and have free time. An optional Street Eats by Tuk Tuk tour is available from 16:30 to 20:30.

- Day 8
Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, Sankampaeng Crafts, and Chiang Mai Temples
Have breakfast at your hotel, then head to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, northern Thailand's most sacred temple at 1,056 meters elevation. You'll climb the carved Naga Serpent Staircase and see the city views below while visiting the temple's holy Buddha relic. Drive to Sankampaeng to watch full production of Thai silk, colorful paper umbrellas, celadon ceramics, teakwood furniture, and silverware. Return to the city for lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon stops include Wat Phrising with its beautiful Lai Kham chapel, Wat Chedi Luang with its enormous partly damaged pagoda from 1545, and Wat U-Mong established in 1296, now a meditation center with historical artifacts and ancient tunnel-like architecture.

Kanta Elephant Sanctuary and Chiang Mai
After breakfast at your hotel, join the half-day Kanta Elephant Sanctuary experience from 07:00 to 11:00. You'll drive about 50 minutes north through countryside and forests, arriving by 08:00. Learn about elephants, change into traditional clothing, and prepare fruit for them. Spend time feeding, interacting, and playing with the elephants in their natural environment while learning their behavior and history. Walk with them to a clean water pond where they cool off. Have tea, coffee, and seasonal fruit before returning by 11:00. The afternoon is free at leisure, and you have three optional evening activities: a Half Day Cycling Culture Tour from 13:00 to 17:00, an Evening Cooking Class from 15:00 to 21:00, or the Evening Khantoke Dinner with Thai Cultural Shows from 18:00 to 21:00.
