Bucharest
You'll arrive in Bucharest and get settled into the city's rhythm. Your Travel Director will meet you along with the other travelers, and everyone gathers for a welcome dinner. It's a chance to try some of Romania's local hospitality and toast to the adventure that's about to unfold.

Bucharest
A walking tour takes you through Bucharest's history, starting with the Palace of Parliament and Revolution Square. You'll pass through the Arch of Triumph, and then the afternoon opens up for you to do your own thing, whether that's shopping or just soaking in the capital's energy.

Brașov
After heading through the Carpathian Mountains, you'll reach Sinaia to check out the neo-Renaissance Peles Castle. From there, the Saxon village of Harman is next, where you explore a fortified medieval church. Later, a Be My Guest experience at a traditional Saxon home includes a homemade Transylvanian meal.

- Day 4
Brașov
You'll visit Bran Castle, which people associate with Bram Stoker's Dracula, and explore its towers and hidden passageways. Your Local Specialist shares the real history behind it. After that, you wander through Brasov's medieval streets, see its Saxon heritage, and stop at the Black Church. The evening is yours to enjoy at your pace.

Brașov to Sibiu
Sighisoara is a UNESCO-listed medieval town where you stroll cobbled lanes and see the covered wooden stairs and clock tower. You'll find the house where Vlad the Impaler was born before heading to Sibiu. There, your Local Specialist walks you through its Saxon character, visiting Great Square, Huet Square, Goldsmiths' Square, and the Liar's Bridge, plus the Gothic Cathedral of St. Mary.

Sibiu to Timișoara
There's an optional stop at Muzeul Astra, one of Europe's largest open-air museums with over 300 buildings showing Romanian rural heritage. You'll then see Corvin Castle, a spectacular Gothic fortress, before heading west to Timisoara, known as 'Little Vienna' for its grand architecture and its cultural importance during the 1989 revolution.

Timișoara to Budapest
After crossing into Hungary, you reach Bugac Puszta in the Great Hungarian Plain. Local herdsmen put on a horsemanship display showing off their riding skills, and then lunch is a traditional goulash meal. From there, Budapest comes next with its wide boulevards and river views. An optional evening dinner cruise along the Danube is available if you want it.

Budapest
Your Local Specialist guides you through Budapest's grandeur, starting at Heroes' Square surrounded by statues of Hungary's great leaders. You'll cross the Danube to Buda and head up Castle Hill to see Matthias Church and Fisherman's Bastion, with views over the Hungarian Parliament building. The afternoon is free for exploring, maybe soaking in the famous thermal baths. Dinner wraps up the evening with a toast to the journey.
