STM is pretty responsive to messages, so I knew before booking that the Santorini volcano cruise day would not be available in winter. However, it was listed in the itinerary and it did require my research into Santorini activities to ask the question. We didn't know that the Akrotiri tour didn't actually include Akrotiri either, but thankfully we wrote to that tour provider directly in advance for an itinerary. STM doesn't manage the day trips themselves, they purchase those experiences from existing tours. That would be fine, except they purchase them from Tiqets.com, instead of actually forming connections with the legit tour operators. This means they lack control of the information. I'm explaining this because for the Delphi trip, we were provided the wrong pickup time because Tiqets.com had the wrong information. If STM worked with the tour provider directly they would have had the right information. Instead, we ended up missing that trip because the tour left without us. We received refunds from STM for each tour we didn't get, that process was simple, however missing a whole day that we would never get back on a short itinerary is inexcusable. The tour was a good collection and a good value, which is why we booked in the first place, but you can easily find all the day trips yourself and make your own itinerary. I'm sure STM will learn from this experience and do better, but if you're going in winter be aware of the itinerary changes and what's not available. I did appreciate STMs willingness to communicate throughout the tour, the transfers all were fine, the hotels were nice with good included breakfasts. We even enjoyed the freedom on our independent day in Santorini where we rented a car and visited Akrotiri ourselves along with Oia and pretty much the whole island. I hope to get back to Athens one day to see Delphi.Show more
