Can we leave the group in Fort Augustus because we need to be in Inverness that same evening?

You can leave the group at Fort Augustus - you just need to inform the tour guide on the day of the tour that you will stay there and not continue to Edinburgh.

If I read correctly, no entrance fees to castles, gardens, etc, are included in the overall fees? If so, how do I get to purchase the entrance tickets to make sure that I can see what I am wanting and supposed to see and not miss out due to not having entrance tickets in advance?

Ist night accommodation room small but had the best breakfast and hosts were very accommodating. 2nd accommodation room was great. But breakfast wasn't nearly as good. Wonderful hosts. Checking in at train station was not as instructed. Rabbis staff were inattentive and we were not aware we were on a Rabbis tour.Show more

  Another question: how much time (ratio or % or hrs) are we spending driving vs time to explore the sights? Is it just time for a photo stop /selfies or do we actually have some time to take in the view when we are at scenic spots? This is my first tour and will be my first visit to Scotland so I do want to be immersed in the atmosphere.
