Overall, the trip was pretty good. You are more or less completely independent on this tour, but the hotels, excursions, and your transportation between cities is all booked for you. For us it was very convenient to have those plans taken care of because it was our first time traveling outside the United States. My one complaint is the hotels chosen for us were mostly outside the direct city centers. It would have been nice to be able to stay out longer on some of the nights and not have to use as much public transportation to get between the destinations and the hotels. Overall, I would book again, but next time I'll be comfortable doing my own planning.Show more

The hotels, meals, and included excursions which I took were for the most part very good. However, I was very disappointed to learn there was no guide for the tour from start to finish, no introduction to the other members of the tour, no one to guide me to locations - other than via a computer. This is NOT my idea of a Tour / being led around by computer messages. The communication from the local tour group (Rome) was chaotic, unclear, and disorganized. The tour was a cascade of unloading the “tour” to subcontractors. I felt very mislead by the tour descriptions which was the basis for my decision to select this tour. You should be far more attentive to accurately describing what you mean by the word “tour.”Show more

For tours departing after September 16th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with On The Go Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
