Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll land in Cairo and get a transfer to your hotel included with the tour. From there, the day is pretty open. If you arrived with time to spare, there's an optional Backstreets of Cairo tour starting at 10am that walks through the older neighborhoods. Everyone meets up at 7pm for the welcome meeting to go over what's ahead.

- Day 2
Giza and Saqqara
This morning you head to the Giza Plateau to see the pyramids and Sphinx. You'll check out Cheops, the largest of the three main pyramids built from over 2.5 million limestone blocks. After that, head south to Saqqara where you'll walk through tombs and temples, including Zoser's step pyramid from 2700 BC. The rest of the evening is free to do whatever you like.

- Day 3
Cairo to Aswan
This morning you'll head to the Grand Egyptian Museum and take a guided tour through its 490,000 sq.m complex. The museum holds over 100,000 artifacts, so there's a lot to see. You'll check out Tutankhamun's treasures including his golden funerary mask, his chariot, and various jewels. Beyond that, you'll find statues, sarcophagi, and restored pieces from ancient Egypt. After you finish up at the museum, you'll fly south to Aswan and settle into your hotel for the evening.

Aswan
Take a short boat ride out to Agilika Island to visit Philae Temple, which was built for the goddess Isis. Once you're back in Aswan, stop by a perfume oil shop before checking into your Nile cruise ship for the next three nights. You'll have time to walk through the local souks and markets or just relax on the ship. Early tomorrow you're heading out to Abu Simbel.

- Day 5
Abu Simbel
Leave early to get to Abu Simbel in time for the Sun Festival of King Ramses II. Watch the sunrise light up the inner chamber of this massive rock temple with its giant Ramses statues at the entrance. After exploring the Sun Temple, Hathor Temple, and taking photos, head back to Aswan to board your cruise. From there, sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temple devoted to the crocodile god Sobek.

Nile Cruise to Luxor
Spend the day relaxing on the Nile cruise as the ship heads to Luxor. You can swim in the pool or sit on deck. Pull into Luxor this afternoon, the home of the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple. You'll have the rest of the day to look around this 4000-year-old city at your own pace before your last night on the ship.

Luxor
Get off the cruise this morning and check into your 5-star Luxor hotel. The day is yours to unwind and explore the city however you like. If you're interested, there's an optional evening visit to the illuminated Temple of Luxor.

Luxor to Cairo
Head out to see Luxor's most important sites. First, walk through the Valley of the Kings to see the decorated tombs of major pharaohs. Then go to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the massive statues of King Amenhotep III. Next, drive to Karnak Temple to walk the Avenue of Sphinxes and see the Hypostyle Hall with its towering pillars. That evening, catch the overnight train back to Cairo.

You'll arrive in Cairo this morning. The whole day is free to explore Egypt's busy capital however you want. Check out Khan el Khalili bazaar with all its shops and vendors, or head up to the Citadel of Saladin to get views over the city.
