  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Athens

    Land in Athens and get transferred to your hotel. This afternoon you'll meet up with your tour director and the other travelers for a welcome meeting. Later in the evening, head out for a group dinner where you'll try Greek cuisine and desserts.

  2. Day 2

    Athens City Tour

    This morning an expert guide takes you through ancient Athens. You'll see the Acropolis and Parthenon, then move on to the Acropolis Museum, Royal Palace, Temple of Zeus, and Agora. The day also includes stops at Hadrian's Arch and the 1896 Olympics site. The afternoon gives you free time to wander around on your own. By evening you're back for dinner with a Greek folklore show and complimentary house wine.

    Corinth, Mycenae, Epidaurus, and Nafplion

    Start with a Greek breakfast, then head to Corinth to explore Mycenae's ancient ruins like the Atreus Tomb and Lion Gate. After that, visit the ancient amphitheater in Epidaurus, known for its incredible acoustics, and check out the Sanctuary of Asclepius nearby. The afternoon takes you through the pretty Venetian town of Nafplion before you do some wine tasting at a local Nemea winery. You'll stay overnight in Nafplion with dinner there.

From there you drive through the scenic Arcadia Mountains heading toward ancient Olympia, where the original Olympics happened back in the 8th century BC. That evening, you're invited to an olive farm and vineyard owned by a local family for dinner with traditional music and dancing, giving you a real taste of Greek hospitality.

  6. Day 6

    Delphi and Thermopylae to Kalambaka

    You'll explore Delphi's ancient ruins this morning, including the Temple of Apollo and statues from the Pythian Games athletes. The guide explains the Oracle of Delphi and her role as one of the most powerful women in ancient times. Later you drive to Thermopylae to see where King Leonidas and the Spartans made their legendary stand against the Persians. After that, travel through the green inland fields to the village of Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.

    The hotels chosen are a little far from the city center for some cities and of average quality. Meals must be included in the price of the trip, which remains relatively expensive as even the activities are not included.
