Itinerary
- Day 1
Guangzhou to Chaozhou
Your hotel pickup happens at 8:00 AM, then you'll board a bullet train for about 3 hours heading to Chaozhou. Once there, start at Kaiyuan Temple, which dates back to the Tang Dynasty and stands as one of the region's oldest Buddhist temples. After exploring the temple grounds, walk out to Guangji Bridge, an 800-year-old structure where you can see traditional wooden boats on the water below. As the day winds down, head to Memorial Arch Street to walk through ancient archways and try some local food before settling into your hotel for the night.

- Day 2
Chaozhou to Nan'ao Island
Following breakfast at your hotel, you'll drive about 1.5 hours along the coast to reach Nan'ao Island. The beach here has golden sand and looks out onto the South China Sea. Spend time on the beach itself, then stop for photos at the modern bridge connecting to the island. Later, visit the seaside lighthouse to get panoramic views of the ocean. After that, the rest of your day is free to relax at your seaside hotel where you'll have ocean views from your room.

Nan'ao Island to Shantou to Guangzhou
Start with breakfast at your hotel, then drive one hour to Shantou to see the Little Park district. The buildings there date from the early 20th century and have European-style architecture mixed in with colonial structures. You'll wander around the old streets, check out traditional tea houses, and browse local artisan shops while sampling Chaozhou-style snacks. In the afternoon, head to Shantou Station and board a 3-hour bullet train back to Guangzhou, arriving at your hotel where the tour wraps up.
