Rio de Janeiro
You'll land at Rio de Janeiro's international airport and get transferred to your hotel in Copacabana. During the drive from the airport, you'll catch your first views of Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain rising dramatically between the hills and water. The rest of the day is yours to settle in and explore the neighborhood at whatever pace feels right.

- Day 2
Rio de Janeiro
A hotel pickup starts your full day exploring Rio. You'll head up Corcovado mountain to see the Christ the Redeemer statue and take in the panoramic city views from the top. From there, you'll take the cable car up Sugar Loaf Mountain. The tour also covers the exterior of Maracanã Stadium, the Sambodrome where Rio Carnival happens, and the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Sebastian. Later you'll walk through the city center, climb the Selar ón stairs, and cross the arches at Lapa. You'll finish with a buffet lunch before heading back to your hotel.

Rio de Janeiro
Your morning is free to relax or check out things on your own. An afternoon pickup takes you on a walking tour through Rocinha Favela, one of Brazil's largest communities. Your guide will show you the reality beyond the stereotypes and talk about the educational and social projects helping residents. You'll see the vibrant street art and colorful murals throughout the area. The route also includes a stop at the Gávea Circuit, known as the 'devil's trampoline' for its challenging racing curves from the 1930s and 1940s. After exploring, you'll get taken back to your hotel.

Rio de Janeiro to Foz do Iguaçu
You'll leave Rio early in the morning and fly to Foz do Iguaçu. After landing, you'll take a tour of Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side, walking about 1 kilometer to see over 270 waterfalls including close-up views of Devil's Throat. Stairs or a panoramic elevator get you to the top of the falls, then you'll walk the boardwalk overlooking the Iguazu River. Later in the day, you'll visit the bird park with more than 150 species like macaws, parrots, and toucans in large aviaries set within the Atlantic rainforest.

- Day 5
Foz do Iguaçu
After breakfast, you'll head to the Argentine-Brazilian border to see Iguazu Falls from the Argentine side. Over 275 waterfalls drop across 2.7 kilometers in a dramatic natural display. Your English-speaking guide takes you by small train to Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Gorge), where water plunges 80 meters directly in front of you. The roar, spray, and raw power of the water leave a real impression. Throughout the day you'll walk different boardwalks to get changing perspectives of the falls.

Foz do Iguaçu to Paraty
You'll head to the airport after breakfast for your departure flight. Once you arrive at your next destination, a transfer will take you to Paraty where you'll check into your accommodation.

Paraty
Today you'll take the famous Schooner Cruise around Paraty's Bay, exploring the most beautiful islands and beaches with calm, clear waters surrounded by tropical vegetation. The boat makes 4 stops of about 30 to 40 minutes each, giving you time to relax by the sea, sunbathe, dive, walk on white sand beaches, or just enjoy the view from the boat. You'll have drinks and freshly made food prepared in the boat's kitchen. The vessels are Port Authority approved and built with comfort and safety in mind.

- Day 8
Paraty
You'll explore the Bocaina Mountains and learn about Paraty's regional culture and history. The day takes you through Serra da Bocaina National Park with hikes on easy trails through the Atlantic forest leading to crystal-clear waterfalls where you can swim. You'll visit Pedra Branca Falls, Poço do Tarzan, and Cachoeira do Tobogã while seeing local fauna and flora. You'll also learn how cachaça (sugar cane brandy) has been traditionally made since the 1600s using old alembic stills, with tastings of various liqueurs and aged cachaças. There's an optional visit to Engenho d'Ouro to see how manioc flour gets made and taste afternoon coffee with fresh grains and rapadura (a traditional Brazilian sweet). Lunch is available at local restaurants if you'd like.

Paraty to Ilha Grande
After breakfast, you'll spend time exploring downtown Paraty's colonial architecture. You'll wander the stone streets lined with white buildings and Baroque churches, taking in the historic district's character. The area has a cosmopolitan feel with many creatives and entrepreneurs running restaurants, galleries, and shops. In the early afternoon, you'll transfer to Ilha Grande in two parts: first by car from Paraty to Angra dos Reis, then continuing by boat to Ilha Grande.

- Day 10
Ilha Grande
After breakfast, you'll head on your own to the pier in Abraão to board a boat excursion around Ilha Grande. You'll pass by Lagoa Verde, Lagoa Azul (natural aquariums), Saco do Céu, Praia do Amor, and Praia da Feiticeira. The roughly 6-hour excursion includes a stop for buffet lunch (which isn't included in the tour cost). You'll return to Abraão pier by late afternoon.

Ilha Grande
You have a free day on Ilha Grande to do whatever you'd like. One option is taking a boat trip to the islands around Angra dos Reis via Botinas Islands (a natural aquarium), Ilha de Cataguaz beach, Praia do Dentista, Praia da Piedade, and Praia das Flechas. If you like hiking, the roughly 2 hour 30 minute trek to Lopes Mendes or Aventureiro beaches is worth considering, as these are two of the island's most beautiful beaches. You can also arrange boat transportation from Abraão pier to reach them instead. Cachoeira da Feiticeira is the island's most famous and accessible waterfall, requiring about a 1 hour 30 minute walk from Abraão via the Aqueduct, though you can hire a taxi-boat to Praia da Feiticeira to cut 30 minutes off (the path has steep and slippery sections).

You'll have breakfast at your pousada and a free morning to relax or explore more of the island. In the afternoon, you'll make your own way to the main dock to catch a boat to Conceição de Jacareí, then transfer back to Rio de Janeiro.
