    Hanoi

    You'll arrive in Hanoi and head to your hotel for check-in from 2 PM onward. The afternoon and evening are open for you to wander around the city at your own pace, getting a feel for the place.

    Ninh Binh

    Pick up happens at 7 AM from your hotel for the drive to Ninh Binh, roughly 120 km south. You'll explore the 17th-century temples at Hoa Lu, then take a boat through Trang An's cave system and karst landscape. The return to Hanoi happens by evening after a full day out.

    Early pickup takes you to Halong Bay, arriving at Tuan Chau harbor by noon. After checking into the Dragon Bay Cruise and having welcome drinks, you'll cruise past Duck Islet and nearby islands. Afternoon brings kayaking and swimming, followed by onboard entertainment, dinner, and an overnight stay on the water.

    Start with breakfast and views of the bay, then head to Frog Pond for kayaking and swimming. After checking out and having lunch on the cruise, you'll return to Hanoi by bus. From there, a quick flight takes you to Da Nang where your driver waits to bring you to your hotel.

    Da Nang

    This morning you'll visit Monkey Mountain to see the Lady Buddha statue and walk through the bonsai garden. Then it's on to the Marble Mountains for stone sculpture factories and climbs to pagodas and caves. After lunch, the cable car rides you up to Ba Na Hills for the Golden Bridge, French Village, and Fantasy Park. You'll stop at the lit-up Dragon Bridge on the way back to your hotel.

    At noon you'll head to Cam Thanh Coconut Village to try traditional fishing and learn to row bamboo basket boats through the waterways. Later, you're off to Hoi An's Old Town to see temples and ancient houses, then take a boat ride on the Hoai River to release flower lanterns. The night market and dinner round out the evening before returning to your hotel.

    After breakfast, you'll travel to Da Nang International Airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Your driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel, where check-in is available from 2 PM.

    Mekong Delta

    Early morning brings a pickup for the trip to My Tho on the Mekong River. You'll visit the 19th-century Vinh Trang pagoda, then take a sampan to four islands, stopping at Unicorn Island to walk country lanes and sample tropical fruits. The afternoon includes visiting fruit plantations, a honey-bee farm, and a coconut candy workshop, plus cycling around Tan Thach village. Time in hammocks comes before the return to Ho Chi Minh City.

    Cu Chi Tunnels

    Your hotel pickup leads to a 1.5-hour drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. After watching an introductory video, you'll explore the narrow passageways, hidden trapdoors, bamboo spike traps, underground kitchens, and weapon workshops. A guerrilla's wartime meal of steamed cassava with pandan tea lets you try what soldiers ate. An optional shooting range is available for an extra cost. You'll be back in Ho Chi Minh City by early afternoon.

  11. Day 11

    Siem Reap - Angkor Complex

    The full day takes you through Angkor's major sites starting with Angkor Thom and the Bayon temple. From there, you'll see Ta Prohm, the famous temple from the Tomb Raider film. Lunch happens at a local restaurant in the complex, then you'll head to the massive Angkor Wat temple. The day ends watching the sunset from Phnom Bakheng before heading back to town.

    Phnom Kulen

    Early morning pickup takes you up Phnom Kulen mountain through thick greenery. You'll swim or relax at Kulen Waterfall, then visit the River of a Thousand Lingas to see the carvings and receive a blessing with holy water. Lunch comes at a local restaurant, then you'll hike to the mountain peak to see a pagoda and the Reclining Buddha. The drive back to town happens by 5:30 PM.

    This tour was such a wonderful experience. From the market tour to finding out more about the culture it was great. Then you get to the school house OH MY GOODNESS, what I beautiful kitchen, so homely and beautiful. The chef Jesse was so helpful and taught me some much needed skills. He was funny and so insightful. It also helps that he is cute.
