Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cairo

    You'll land at Cairo International Airport at 3:00 p.m., where your Trip Leader meets you. Included transportation takes you to your hotel to settle in. After the welcome meeting, head into the evening to walk through the historic Bazaar of Khan el-Khalili and El Moez Street. You'll finish the day with koshary, Egypt's famous national dish.

  2. Day 2

    Cairo

    After a buffet breakfast at your hotel, you'll head to the Pyramids of Giza. Grab a shawarma or falafel sandwich for lunch to go, then spend the afternoon on a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum and its antique collections. The evening is yours to explore night markets or, if you're interested, join an optional Nile River cruise.

  3. Day 3

    Cairo to Aswan

    You'll take an included domestic flight down to Aswan in southern Egypt. Kayak along the Nile for about an hour, watching local bird life and scenic islands (Philae Temple is available to visit at your own expense). Later, walk through local markets with your Trip Leader before checking into your hotel on the Nile. That evening, cross to the west bank and visit a Nubian village where you'll enjoy an authentic home-cooked meal with your host family.

  4. Day 4

    Aswan

    Wake before 5 a.m. for a 3-hour bus ride to Abu Simbel. You'll spend about 2 hours exploring the two massive rock-cut temples built by King Ramses II, including the smaller temple for Queen Nefertari. Back in Aswan by afternoon, relax at the hotel pool or explore the city. Evening options include an optional guided tour of Philae Temple, visiting Ferial Gardens, or checking out the night market.

  5. Day 5

    Aswan

    After hotel breakfast, board your private felucca for a full day on the Nile. You'll watch rural Egyptian life from the riverbanks while your Nubian crew serves healthy vegetarian meals throughout the day. See the sunset and enjoy the night sky. You'll sleep on the open felucca deck with provided sleeping mat, blankets, pillow, and mosquito net.

  6. Day 6

    Aswan to Luxor

    Wake early on the felucca to catch sunrise with breakfast from your crew. Then drive about 3.5 hours to Luxor, built on ancient Thebes. You'll visit the Karnak temple complex, one of the world's largest religious sites, and explore the Temple of Amun-Ra. Arriving at your Luxor hotel around 3:00 p.m., the evening is free to visit Luxor Temple under lights, walk the scenic waterfront, or grab a drink at a local bar.

  7. Day 7

    Luxor to Hurghada

    After a buffet breakfast, take a ferry across the Nile to the west bank. You'll see the Colossi of Memnon, massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Explore the Valley of the Kings where over 60 decorated pharaoh tombs are located. Share a traditional home-cooked lunch with a local family, then drive about 4 hours to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast. Check in, freshen up, and join the group for dinner.

    Start with breakfast at your resort, then the day is yours. Relax on the beach, swim in the pool, ride in a submarine, or try snorkeling or scuba diving (your Trip Leader can help arrange). In the late afternoon, gather with new friends to share stories, freshen up, and enjoy your final group dinner in Egypt.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before February 20th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of $195 is required to confirm your booking with Under30Experiences. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
