Itinerary
- Day 1
Zhangjiajie
Hotel pickup gets you to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, where you'll walk across the famous Glass Bridge spanning 430 meters. The bridge sits 300 meters above the canyon floor, so the views down are intense. After grabbing lunch on your own, you head to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. From there, the sightseeing ropeway takes about 30 minutes going up the mountain (it's the longest one in the world, covering nearly 7500 meters). Once at the top, you can walk the Glass Skywalk, which gives you that same heart-in-your-throat feeling as the bridge below. Before heading back, you'll tour one of the historic karst caves in the area. The express cable car ride down takes roughly 25 minutes, and then it's back to your hotel by evening.
