Kuala Lumpur
This morning, you'll head to the Twin Towers and colorful temples scattered throughout the city. Later, wander into Chinatown and Bukit Bintang to try street food that Kuala Lumpur is known for. If you're still going strong by evening, swing by the Heli Lounge Bar for views of the lit-up skyline.

Batu Caves
You can get to Batu Caves using the KTM commuter train or grab a Grab cab whenever works for you. Once there, climb the colorful 272 steps past the 40-meter golden Murugan statue to reach the main cave. Afterward, check out nearby food stalls and explore other attractions around the area.

Back in the city, take an evening walk along the Gombak River starting from Merdeka Square and ending at Jamek Mosque.

Kuala Lumpur to Melaka
You'll take a long-distance bus from Kuala Lumpur down to Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the colorful streets of Jonker Street looking at antiques and trying street food, then find Harmony Street and the beautiful Cheng Hoon Temple. This place really shows the blend of different cultures and colonial history.

Melaka

Climb up to St. Paul's Church ruins for views of the city and sea, then take a colorful bicycle rickshaw ride back down and see the Masjid Selat floating mosque.

A bus takes you north through green countryside to Ipoh. After arriving, head to Perak Tong Cave Temple and climb 450 steps up a stone staircase past murals and a large Buddha statue to reach a viewing platform. The views over Ipoh from up there are really something.

Penang Countryside
After grabbing a tuk tuk to Balik Pulau in Penang's interior, you'll rent a bicycle for the day. Cycle along palm-lined roads and stop at fruit plantations to try fresh fruit. You'll pass through the traditional fishing village of Kuala Sungai Pinang and visit a family-run Saanen Dairy Goat Farm where you can see white goats and taste goat's milk products.
