Batu Caves
You can get to Batu Caves using the KTM commuter train or grab a Grab cab whenever works for you. Once there, climb the colorful 272 steps past the 40-meter golden Murugan statue to reach the main cave. Afterward, check out nearby food stalls and explore other attractions around the area.

You'll take a long-distance bus from Kuala Lumpur down to Melaka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This place really shows the blend of different cultures and colonial history.

A bus takes you north through green countryside to Ipoh. After arriving, head to Perak Tong Cave Temple and climb 450 steps up a stone staircase past murals and a large Buddha statue to reach a viewing platform. The views over Ipoh from up there are really something.
