Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Denpasar to Canggu

    You'll land at Denpasar airport and get transferred to your hotel in Canggu. After checking in, there's a welcome talk where you'll meet your Travel Ninjas and the rest of the group. The rest of the day is yours to settle in, whether that means hanging by the pool, checking out the beach, or wandering around Canggu's shops and cafes. Dinner happens on a rooftop where you'll get to know everyone over food and drinks.

  2. Day 1

    Denpasar to Canggu

    You'll arrive at Denpasar airport where your group leader picks you up and drives you to your hotel in Canggu. After checking in, there's time to relax by the pool or wander down to the beach if you feel like it. The area has plenty to explore whenever you want. Later on, you'll head up to a rooftop for dinner and drinks with your group so everyone can get to know each other.

  3. Day 2

    Canggu

    Start at the Royal Temple of Taman Ayun, which has beautiful gardens, intricate architecture, fish ponds, and green surroundings everywhere. From there you'll head to Tanah Lot, a temple sitting on a rock formation out in the ocean. Later in the afternoon, you'll catch the sunset from a local beach, then it's off to Canggu for a night out with the group.

  4. Day 2

    Canggu

    Today takes you to two of Bali's well-known temples. Tanah Lot sits dramatically on a rock formation out in the sea, which makes for incredible views. Then you'll head to the Royal Temple of Taman Ayun. By evening, you'll catch the sunset from one of Canggu's best beaches before heading into town for the night.

  5. Day 3

    Canggu

    Head to Kuta Beach for a surf lesson with local instructors who'll teach you how to paddle out and catch waves. If you already know how to surf, you'll have time to practice on your own. After that, you can relax at the rooftop pool or take another walk on the beach. By evening, find a spot to watch the sunset with a cocktail in your hand.

  6. Day 3

    Canggu

    You'll head to Kuta Beach for a surfing lesson with local instructors. Whether you're picking it up for the first time or you already know how, the morning waves work for different levels. After that, the afternoon is yours to relax on the beach. As evening comes, grab a cocktail and watch the sunset.

    Canggu to Ubud

    Travel to Ubud, stopping at Tegenungan waterfall along the way to swim and cool off. Check into your hotel and spend time walking through the town, talking with locals, and trying local food. After cleaning up, you'll hit one of Bali's best live music venues, shoot some pool, and try the famous coconut ice cream that Ubud's known for.

  8. Day 4

    Canggu to Ubud

    You're traveling to Ubud, the bohemian jungle town in Bali's interior. Along the way, you'll stop at Tegenungan waterfall to cool off. Once you check in at your accommodation, there's time to walk around town, chat with locals, and try some local food. In the evening, you'll head to one of Bali's popular live music venues for some singing and dancing.

  9. Day 5

    Ubud

    Grab breakfast then head to the local markets to see what's in season and available. You'll join Wayan and his family for a traditional cooking lesson where you'll learn how to make Balinese dishes and create Canang Sari flower offerings. Eat the food you've prepared, then visit the sacred monkey forest to see hundreds of monkeys living around ancient temples. Finish the day with dinner with your group.

  10. Day 5

    Ubud

    After breakfast, you'll visit local food markets to learn what goes into Balinese cooking. You'll then join a local family to prepare traditional dishes and make Canang Sari flower offerings. Lunch is what you've cooked together. In the afternoon, you'll walk through the sacred monkey forest where hundreds of long-tailed monkeys live around ancient temples. You'll return for dinner back with your group.

    Ubud

    Trek through the rice terraces at Tegalalang, walking across the valleys and stopping for swing photos. Your guides will explain why rice matters so much to Bali and the world. Later, drive to Kintamani for lunch with views of the active Mt. Batur volcano. The afternoon is flexible, so you can cool off at the pool, browse the local market, or just hang out with others from your group.

    Ubud

    The morning starts with the scenic rice terraces at Tegalalang. You'll trek through the valleys and stop at swings for photos, all while sipping fresh coconuts and learning about rice's role locally and globally. Later, you'll head to Kintamani for lunch with Mt. Batur, an active volcano, as your backdrop. Back in Ubud by afternoon, you can lounge by the pool, shop at local markets, or explore more with your group.

    Ubud to Gili Trawangan

    Take the bus to the port and ferry over to Gili Trawangan in the Gili Islands. Once you arrive, check into your accommodation right in the middle of the island where you'll stay for a few days. Spend your afternoon with a beer, relaxing poolside, or walking around the nearby beaches. Dinner happens in the evening before you head out to some of the island's bars.

  14. Day 7

    Ubud to Gili Trawangan

    You're taking the bus and ferry to Gili Trawangan, a tropical island where you'll stay for your final days. After checking into your accommodation in the heart of the island, the afternoon is relaxed. Grab a beer by the pool or walk around different beaches. You'll watch the sunset on the beach, then head out for dinner and explore the island's famous beachside bars.

    Gili Islands

    Boat between Gili Trawangan and Gili Meno, taking in the clear water and ocean breeze. You'll hit several snorkel spots where you can see coral, colorful fish, turtles, and maybe sharks if you're lucky. Lunch is served on the beach at Gili Meno. Later, settle in at one of the island's best beach bars to watch the sunset and have cocktails.

    Gili Trawangan

    Today you're island-hopping by boat around all three Gili Islands. You'll snorkel at some of the best spots around Gili Meno, where the coral and fish are vibrant and you might see turtles. There are also coral conservation projects to learn about. A beachfront lunch happens on Gili Meno. Later, you'll catch the sunset with a cold cocktail at one of the island's top beach bars.

    Gili Trawangan

    Bike around Gili Trawangan to find the quieter spots and hidden areas the island has to offer. Ride up the hill to reach the viewpoint at the top for views of the whole island and surrounding ocean. This evening brings your last sunset with the group and a farewell dinner where everyone shares memories. After dinner, there's a party with awards, speeches, and celebrations of everything from your 10 days together.

  18. Day 9

    Gili Trawangan

    You're exploring Gili Trawangan by bicycle, pretty much the only way to get around the island. You'll cycle to different beaches and check out various activities. There's a hill you can trek up to see the island's viewpoint and explore an old WWII bunker. One last sunset comes before your farewell dinner and party to wrap up the trip.

    Gili Trawangan to Denpasar
