Itinerary
- Day 1
Mumbai
You'll arrive in Mumbai and get settled at your hotel. After checking in, head to the Gateway of India in the afternoon where you can catch a ferry out to Elephanta Caves. Spend a few hours walking through the rock-cut chambers carved into the stone. Later, make your way to Marine Drive for an evening stroll and try to reach Girgaon Chowpatty in time to watch the sunset over the water.

Mumbai
Start the morning at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, then head into the nearby Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya museum. After lunch, head to Colaba Causeway for some shopping and browsing. From there, make your way to Bandra to walk around Mount Mary Church and the Bandstand Promenade. Before evening wraps up, you'll want to see the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, which connects the two areas and offers nice views.

Mumbai to Aurangabad
Have breakfast at your hotel, then check out and drive toward Aurangabad, which takes about 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive, get checked into your hotel and keep the evening open. You might grab dinner somewhere nearby, but there's no structured plans for this part of the day.

Aurangabad
Early morning, drive about 100 km to reach Ajanta Caves. Spend most of the day walking through the Buddhist rock-cut caves, checking out the frescoes and sculptures carved into the rock faces. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so there's plenty to take in. You'll have lunch at a local spot, then continue exploring before heading back to Aurangabad by evening.

- Day 5
Aurangabad to Mumbai
Visit Ellora Caves, another UNESCO site with Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist sculptures throughout. The Kailasa Temple in Cave 16 is the main highlight here and definitely worth your time. During the afternoon, stop by Daulatabad Fort to walk around the structure, then head to Bibi Ka Maqbara, which locals call a mini Taj Mahal. After exploring both sites, drive back to Mumbai for the night.
