Guides were knowledgeable and very helpful Hotels were mostly mid-range but comfortable and clean. Ranthambore was exciting we spotted deer, birds, and a tiger. Varanasi was unlike any place we’ve been-spiritual and intense. I’d recommend this tour to India.

We had a great experience on our Mumbai & Goa Explorer tour. The itinerary was well planned, offering a perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxation. A big thanks to our driver, Mr. Abhay, for his professionalism and smooth driving throughout the trip. Our guide in Mumbai, Mr. Vijay, was very knowledgeable and made the city tour truly interesting. In Goa, Mr. Ryan was friendly and informative, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a seamless and memorable journey, and we would highly recommend this tour.

Best time to visit Maharashtra
- Summer 2026
Summer calls for smart timing with early morning and evening explorations in Maharashtra. Our Mumbai tours kick off at dawn visiting the Elephanta Caves, then use air-conditioned transport to reach museums and galleries during peak heat hours. The 3-day Aurangabad routes stick to indoor sites afternoons, while morning visits to Ajanta and Ellora caves take advantage of cooler temperatures. Our travelers appreciate how the guides time each stop perfectly, mixing cultural visits with cooling breaks at historical sites. We include plenty of water stops and careful scheduling to handle summer conditions properly.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Autumn becomes a fantastic time for Maharashtra tours once the monsoon clears out. Our travelers really enjoy walking through Mumbai's Fort area when temperatures drop in October and November. The 4-day circuits linking Mumbai's colonial architecture with Aurangabad's caves work perfectly - you get Ellora's rock-cut temples without summer heat or winter crowds. Beach additions to Goa fit naturally this season, letting you mix cultural visits with some beach time. TourRadar customers say autumn gives them just what they want: comfortable temperatures and clear skies for taking photos at places like Bibi Ka Maqbara and also Daulatabad Fort.

- Winter 2026 / 2027
Winter in Maharashtra hits that sweet spot for exploring cultural sites, with mild temperatures that make cave visits really comfortable. Our travelers tend to book tours mixing Mumbai's colonial buildings with Buddhist art at Ajanta and Ellora from December through February. The 4-day Aurangabad circuit works particularly well - you can climb those rock-cut steps at Ellora's cave temples in the cool morning hours. Starting in Mumbai, you'll find the Elephanta Caves much quieter than usual, and afternoon visits to Dhobi Ghat and Crawford Market show the city buzzing with daily life. Our guides point out those small architectural details you'd probably miss alone, and TourRadar customers often mention how much nicer these heritage walks are in the moderate climate.

- Spring 2027
Spring lets you combine cultural sites with natural scenery while temperatures stay pleasant through March and April. Our most popular routes connect Mumbai's Gateway of India with the rock-cut temples at Ajanta, where the softer spring light makes studying those intricate Buddhist paintings even better. The 5-day circuits work well with morning monument visits and relaxed afternoons discovering local markets. Ellora really shines this season - you'll explore 34 caves showing different faiths while our guides explain how Indian religious architecture evolved over time. TourRadar guests tell us spring gives them more time to really look at those detailed carvings without getting too hot.
