What people love about touring Maharashtra solo
- Incredible Tour to India
Overall, the trip was excellent and truly memorable. Our driver was outstanding—he stayed with us for the entire 10 days, was extremely knowledgeable, kept the vehicle spotless every day, and was genuinely a pleasure to be around. He played a huge role in making the experience enjoyable and stress-free. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. While not entirely the tour company’s fault, the hotels were somewhat disappointing. Check-in at several properties took far longer than expected, and the service often felt underwhelming for accommodations marketed as “five-star.” Additionally, some of the local tour guides frequently brought us to what felt like tourist-trap shops. We would have preferred more opportunities for authentic street shopping and local experiences rather than curated retail stops. Finally, the cost of entrance fees came as a surprise. We did not anticipate spending as much as we did, and greater transparency about these expenses upfront would have been appreciated. Overall, the trip was very good, but addressing these issues would elevate the experience from great to exceptional.
- Ajanta Ellora Cave Trip - Aurangabad Maharashtra
This Ajanta-Ellora trip was a highlight of my Indian journey. From intricate Buddhist frescoes to stunning Hindu and Jain temples carved into rock, every site was breathtaking. Booking through Anuj was easy, and he provided detailed pre-trip advice that prepared me well. Our driver, Vikram, was dependable and friendly, helping us manage a tight schedule so we could see both sites fully. The early mornings and long walks through caves were tiring but incredibly rewarding. I appreciated the balance of guided tours and free time, which let me absorb the atmosphere at my own pace. Aurangabad’s local cuisine was a welcome bonus!
- North India Amazing Tour
I couldn’t have asked for a better trip with GT India Tours. The services provided were fantastic, from the punctual airport transfers to the carefully planned sightseeing tours. Local guides were not only informative but also fun to be around, making each stop interesting. Wildlife safari in Ranthambore National Park was one of the highlights of my trip, and the boat ride in Udaipur was peaceful and beautiful. The whole experience was highly enjoyable.
