Itinerary
- Day 1
Madrid
You'll arrive in Madrid and get settled at your hotel. Start the day with a short walk through Plaza Mayor and Palacio Real to get oriented. Around 6pm, meet up with your tour leader and the rest of the group for a welcome dinner with Spanish food.

- Day 2
Madrid
This morning you're on a three-hour guided tour hitting El Retiro Park, the artistic Chueca neighborhood, and trendy Malasaña. After that, the afternoon is yours to check out the Museo del Prado or Museo Reina Sofia on your own. Later, your tour leader takes you through Madrid's famous tapas bars for dinner.

Madrid to Seville
Head to the train station and take a 2 hour 50 minute ride to Seville. Once you check in at your hotel, wander through the Jewish Quarter's narrow streets toward the Guadalquivir River, seeing the Triana district and Torre del Oro along the way. This evening catch a flamenco show at Museo del Baile Flamenco.

- Day 4
Seville
Spend the day exploring Seville's main sights. The Royal Alcazar has striking Muslim architecture and art. From there, head to Seville Cathedral, which is the largest gothic church in the world. After that, walk through the Plaza de Espa\u00f1a in Parque de María Luisa, built back in 1929 for the Ibero-American Exposition.

Seville to Faro
You're leaving Spain today. A 2 hour 35 minute coach ride gets you to Faro, Portugal. Check in at your hotel, then join your tour leader for an afternoon walk along the seafront promenade and through the old town called Cidade Vela, which has historic city walls surrounding it.

Faro to Lisbon
Take the train for 3 hours 15 minutes to Lisbon, Portugal's capital. Your hotel sits just five minutes from the station, so getting there is quick. In the afternoon, join a two-hour walk through the Baixa district to see old neighborhoods, colorful buildings, vintage trams, and local food spots.

- Day 7
Lisbon
Today you'll explore more of Lisbon using the tram and metro. Visit the Jeronimos Monastery, then grab coffee at the original Pastel de Nata factory from 1837 (they still use a secret recipe from the monastery). The afternoon is free for you to wander Bairro Alto's colorful streets or check out Alfama with its castle and river views.

Lisbon to Coimbra
A 1 hour 40 minute train ride takes you to Coimbra, which used to be Portugal's capital. Visit Coimbra University, founded way back in 1290 and one of Europe's oldest universities (it's now a World Heritage site). You'll also see the beautiful 18th-century Biblioteca Joanina library there.

- Day 9
Coimbra to Porto
Take a three-hour train ride to Porto, your final stop on this trip. After checking in at your hotel, do a walking tour of the highlights like Clerigos Tower and Aliados Square. Wrap up the day watching the sunset from Miradouro do Jardim do Morro, which overlooks the Ribeira district and the river.

A 1 hour 45 minute train takes you to Regua, traveling alongside the scenic Douro River. Then you board a boat for a six-hour cruise through terraced vineyards (lunch is included). Visit the wine town of Pinhão, then catch the train back to Porto later that evening.
