Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Amman
You'll arrive at the airport and get transferred to your hotel in Amman. After you settle in, there's a welcome meeting with your group and leader at 6 pm. If you get there early, you can walk around local cafes or check out the Roman Amphitheatre and Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. Later in the evening, you'll join everyone for a welcome dinner with traditional Jordanian food like mansaf and kunafa.

Jerash and Amman Cooking Class
Head north from Amman to Jerash to see some impressive Greco-Roman ruins. Your leader will explain the history and help you picture what life was like in this ancient Roman city. You'll walk through archways, theatres, baths, and the Oval Plaza. Back in Amman, you'll go to a cooking school for a hands-on session where you'll prepare classic Jordanian dishes like Maqlubeh, Mutabbal, and Baba Ghanouj, then sit down to eat what you've made.

Mount Nebo, St Georges Church, and Dead Sea
Travel from Amman to the Dead Sea with stops at Mount Nebo and St Georges Church. At Mount Nebo, you'll learn about Moses seeing the Promised Land from this location. You'll visit St Georges Church to see its famous Byzantine mosaic showing a map of the Holy Land. Once you reach the Dead Sea, you can float in the extremely salty water, relax on the hotel's beach, or swim in the infinity pool.

- Day 4
Shobak Castle and Petra Arrival
Leave the Dead Sea and drive to Shobak Crusader castle, where your leader will cover its past as a fortress protecting the Latin Kingdom and its trade routes until Saladin took it in 1189. You'll stop at a viewpoint over the Dana Nature Reserve to take in the landscape. Later in the afternoon, you'll reach Petra and start exploring this ancient site carved into rock with a leader-led tour of the Treasury and the narrow Siq.

- Day 5
Petra Exploration and Bedouin Dinner
Spend the day at Petra on your own schedule, walking through the Siq again and climbing to the Monastery if you want those views of the entire site. There's an option for a free transfer to Little Petra where you can hike through the back entrance to Petra. Grab lunch at the on-site cafeteria. This evening, you'll visit a local Bedouin family's home for a homemade dinner and learn about living in Petra. If you're interested, you can see Petra by night with the Treasury lit by candles and Bedouin music.

Wadi Rum Desert Experience
Drive to Wadi Rum, a protected desert with sandstone mountains, canyons, and arches. You'll have lunch in the village of Rum, then climb into a local jeep with your Bedouin hosts to explore the rock formations and quiet desert landscape. You'll visit several formations and learn about Bedouin life and communities. That evening, join them for zarb (underground oven) dinner at their desert camp. You'll sleep in a Feature Stay Bedouin camp with spacious tents, king-sized beds, air conditioning, en suite bathrooms, and starry nights overhead.

- Day 7
Wadi Rum to Amman
You'll wake up in the Bedouin camp and take a walk around the area before climbing one of the large dunes for panoramic views. After that, head back to Amman for the evening. You might join your group for a final dinner at a local restaurant popular with locals, so ask your leader about the best choices.

Departure from Amman
Your trip finishes today after breakfast. If you've arranged a private airport transfer, you'll get your pick-up time beforehand. If you want to stay longer in Amman, contact your booking agent before the trip to set up extra accommodation.
