  How much is a single supplement how many solo travelers are on this trip and what is the average range? I am 62-year-old single woman. Will there be other people in my age? If so, what percentage of the group over 50?

    There are currently 12 travellers booked on this tour. 25% of the total group are travellers above the age of 50. The group has quite a wide age range as well. The single supplement on this tour would be 499.00 CAD additional to the tour cost.

  Can I have my own room, is there extra cost? I don't mind. I would need to arrange flights the day before as I would not be there for 2 pm, can you suggest the same hotel to stay prior to the trip or do I need to sort that myself? Are there any many solo travellers, this would be my first time, possibly a little nervous!

    Sure you can add the single supplement for an additional 789.00 AUD. We can add pre tour accommodation for 170.00 AUD per night also. As this tour is quite far in advance there are currently no other travellers booked on this departure, although that will definitely change as we get closer to the departure date. All travellers must be solo however, friends / pairs are not eligible to join this tour so it's perfect if you are nervous about being on your own.

    The solo-ish tours are open to all solo travellers who are 18+ with about 20% being 50+. We can look up the group demographics for specific departure dates to confirm age range.

    Our February Japan Solo-ish tour has travelers from 1940s, 1950s, 1980s, and 1990s ages. Currently 8 spots left, mostly male solo travelers with different nationalities.

    Tour price is $5999 with 20% deposit of $1198.80. Single room supplement is $719, but currently single rooms are sold out. We can request additional single rooms after booking.

  I would like to know if single accommodation is possible and how to select this option at the time of booking. What are the details about luggage size? Is 160cm the sum of depth, length and width of the luggage? What does 'main luggage' mean?

    Single rooms are offered on all travel styles, except 18-Thirtysomethings and Roamies by Hostelworld. You can add this option when you hold a space on the tour. Luggage must be less than 160cm in total (sum of height + width + depth). Luggage between 160-250cm will incur a 1,000 JPY fee per journey, and over 251cm is prohibited on Shinkansen trains. Main luggage refers to the same 160cm luggage.

    You have two rooming options for this trip: 1. Pay the twin/double price listed on the website and be paired up to share with another solo traveller of the same gender. 2. Pay an additional charge of about 499.00 USD and have your own room, please note that it's subject to availability, and if it's booked, you will receive your own single accommodation for all night stops, with the following exceptions: night 3 (temple stay) and night 6.

    Our 'Solo-ish Japan' adventure is a new tour with it's first departure in July. The exact hotels used have not yet been determined, but the service level is rated as standard: Comfortable tourist-class accommodations with character; mix of public and private transport.
