Lima
You'll arrive in Lima and check into your contemporary beachfront hotel for a two-night stay. The city has a serious food reputation, with restaurants and galleries throughout, plus plenty of museums to explore when you're ready.

Lima
A local guide takes you through Lima's mix of old and new. You'll walk past colonial architecture, stop at cathedrals and convents, check out the San Isidro financial district, then head to the Larco Museum. Lunch happens during the tour, so you won't need to hunt for a place to eat.

Sacred Valley
Your guide leads a walking tour of Ollantaytambo, where Manco Inca fought Spanish conquistadors centuries ago. Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
The Vistadome train takes you through spectacular mountain scenery to Machu Picchu. Expert guides show you around this 15th-century citadel, explaining the engineering and history as you explore. You'll spend the night at a hotel right in Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu to Cuzco
Another train ride brings you back to Cuzco, the old Incan capital sitting at 3,399 meters high. Your hotel is inside a 500-year-old mansion in the city's heart, where you'll have two nights to settle in and get comfortable.

Cuzco
On foot through Cuzco's cobblestone streets, you'll see ancient Incan walls next to colonial whitewashed buildings and Baroque palaces. The tour ends at Sacsayhuamán fortress with its massive carved stones arranged like a puma's head. There's also a stop at a local school supported by the tour company, if school schedules allow.

Cuzco to Amazon
